I've done several days out with the Scoob lot' date=' don't think you were in my group at last years Welsh Camping trip, but it was more than adequate for leading a bunch of scoobs. IIRC Alison felt quite sick having had Greg trying to keep up with me just setting the cruise for 80 and then just sitting at that, even around the bends :D

Haha I remember Greg pulling over so Alison could throw up lol... was a good weekend :D

Test driving vRS this afternoon...

Couple more questions...

When was the ignition coil recall? Recently? Did it affect the vRS

Anyone had the problem of boot seal badly leaking rainwater?

Rubbing strips - keep and colour code or remove?

Think that's it for now...

MissyC,

have fun with the test drive

Regarding the coil pack recall. I think there's now a more reliable one. Model has a letter, maybe J or K or L... Jon & Co. will be able to give precise answers.

The only big problem with hatches and boot and water is when it's been raining, the water has a nasty tendancy to drain into the rear speakers. I think Jon put a bead of silicone along the the rear windscreen / bootlid / somewhere which helped iirc.

Re rubbing strips, I don't mind either. But I think I'd prefer to keep them as long as they're the same colour as the rest of the body.

i were telled at the Rally Of Cornwall,by a man who builds scoobys for the ole rallying bit, that they do have a lil weakness in the engine if driven hard for a bit of a while. Nuffin toooo serious though, they will just destroy the ole OIL PUMP!!!!!!! ?Hope this helps some. Stu.
