Like those, what are they off originally? They look familiar but the refurb colour is throwing me!

  • Popped to the garage at lunchtime to swap coolant temp sensor. I don't think it's the problem but it can't hurt. Going to swap O2 sensor later for the spare I have. Went well, all sorted in 5 mins. T

Get back to work lazy git!

Says he who has almost probably been home for the last 2 hours or so, if not alllll day! "Oh, the ground is frozen, no work for me today......"

Mk1 L&K - that's it :)

Nice job

Was the alternator pulley OK, normally when the pulley goes it kills the tensioner.

Alternator pulley seems fine, does what it's meant to do, no untoward noise or movement, all the trouble was with the alternator belt tensioner. My mate set it up in a vice to show me the movement that shouldn't have been there. That's what caused the belt to be thrown off.

P.S. Please don't tempt fate! :x

The way my luck is going just now something else is bound to go. :'(

Try to start it

Failed...Battery Dead....Sent for Skoda Assist who sent out the RAC.. who started it and told me it was fine ..flat because I havent driven it enough...Been on the drive for a week and only does 10 miles in the previous 3 days with lights, rear screen, heater!!..etc..

New alloys on the Yeti for winter. :)

When the pulley went on my old car and killed the tensioner it seemed OK on the car, once I got the alternator out of the car and swapped the pulley over you could really feel the difference.

Matterhorns off an Urban. :)

Pics when I get the centre caps fitted.

Old ones doesn't look right as wheels are dark grey with diamond cut face, so need the new Citigo ones.

OK. Now I'm officially jealous :envy:

Fitted home refrub wheels on Sat!

Thoughts/opinions welcome!

I like them

Had 2 new Bridgestones fitted to the front as I was driving slicks, not good in this weather. Traction control light flashing with the lightest touch on the accelerator in 1st.

Problem with the fitting though, the garage is fairly muddy so now my footwell and plastics are covered :(

Hello Ad Lav! I'm doing good thank you, still down in cornwall for the moment!! Humm...

I'm loving the the Big Banana as Rob would like to call it!

Tried the launch control this evening....it's interesting! haha... it seems to work on 3 different levels of revs between 1500rpm, to 2500rpm, and 3500rpm.... I honestly didn't think it would have it let alone work.

Only tried it to see if it actually held the revs. And it did!!! Now to wait for a dry day! :)

Fitted winters in time for the warm spell yay :giggle:

Put a new brake light switch in + new rear bulbs and still no lights to rear.
