  • Popped to the garage at lunchtime to swap coolant temp sensor. I don't think it's the problem but it can't hurt. Going to swap O2 sensor later for the spare I have. Went well, all sorted in 5 mins. T

First layer of primer has gone on my spare grill

Nope :) new engine seems to be good...

Emptied it of everything and getting it ready for a big trip next week.

A thorough clean and polish should lower its drag a little :giggle:

Picked the Yeti up from the return visit to the body shop, looks better but why can't a body shop get all the bits back in place? It seems to make one part fit well another part has to not fit so good.

Bumper fit really well but headlights didn't, now headlights fit but bumper gaps are not so good, looks like it will always be a compromise.

fitted these;

10 minute job

Washed it, took it out on some back roads, got through diesel quicker than usual and it's dirty again now :wall:

Got the BlackVue drive recorder properly wired in (ignition live) and tidied up the cable for the phone.

Put a 9mm egr gasket in place of the original. Huge difference, now drives perfect with no stutter and no light! ... Yet

Botched an oil change on it. It runs good though

Tried re-connecting the aeriel on the bolero but the signal is still poor :(

Put it's summer tyres back on (again) then went for a drive, then put a little bit of oil in when I got back :)

Had its battery tested at halfords. The first halfords said it had 41% battery and was unserviceable. The second opinion from a competent person said 68% good.

Looks like the battery light coming on intermittently is something else...

Very quick wash inside and out. Went to Halfrauds and picked up some Autoglym stuff on offer but didn't get a chance to use any of it as it was dark when i got back.

2nd coat of primer on my grill. First coat of black magic going on tonight and more nagging about coilovers ;)

Have you fitted an aerial adaptor? e.g. http://goo.gl/94nkM

Hosed the car down but that's all just to get rid of salt and mud that's built up on it lately with the rain and the excursion through the Elan Valley. Shamefully it hasn't been cleaned let alone detailed since October. Haven't had time and when I've had time off it's either been wet and dark or had to do something.

Thanks Steve, I have one on order so keeping my fingers crossed it works otherwise I will be following mikes instructions and changing the aerial

Drover her for the first time in 6 weeks... nice 100 mile blip along the M5.

Oh how I've missed driving her :D

Ate a banana before work, left the skin by the handbrake, put skin in compost when I got home. Wondered if I could get "l'eau de banana" fragrance for the car.

Cursed the fact my PAS light is on again. Another trip under the car needed to remove and dry out the angle sensor. :(

Made the kids stand outside the car to eat sausage rolls, well I let them sit on the back bumper with the boot lid open.

I gave the vrs a long overdue clean been 2weeks since I last washed it

Foamed using pink magi foam Autobrite

Pressure washed off after 10min

Wheels cleaned using bilberry wheel cleaner

Washed using 2 buckets wolfs nano shampoo and cquartz mitt

De-tar using autosmart tardis

Final pressure wash down

Dried off with chemical guys beluga towel

Auto finesse tough prep

Auto finesse tough coat

G-techniq g3 on windscreen

Door shuts wiped down chemical guys hybrid v7

2 hrs later I'm kinda happy with my handy work oh and I also checked the oil which I'm pleased to report is all good.

Glad I'm not the only one that does this...

Might have to buy some of these bits. Is Tardis and Bilberry wheel cleaner good? And where from?
