  • Popped to the garage at lunchtime to swap coolant temp sensor. I don't think it's the problem but it can't hurt. Going to swap O2 sensor later for the spare I have. Went well, all sorted in 5 mins. T

Day three of ownership; Polished it; applied a sealer and put a Colinite wax on top of that. Left some of the wax a tad too long in the sunshine and it was a bugger to buff up. Loaded about 25 albums on SD micro disk for the head set. Discovered car has little straps that fit my warning triangle, nice, hope it never gets unstrapped. Put Briskoda.net sticker in back window.

Read manual in bed that's TMI I guess.

Actually all that lot took two days.

Tomorrow up the motorway for the first time, cannot wait, have not looked forward to visiting my aged Mother this much for some time.

Topped up washer fluid with some new Quantum screenwash, I got 5 litres of the stuff to dilute, smells great and cuts through the salt and grime easy enough. Really needs a wash but it'll have to wait until my next day off on Thursday, just wiped the headlights and numberplates.

Fixed ABS and ASR, now just left with EML light on. :(

De-iced the inside of the screen on SWMBO's Fabia  .... Hopefully dried it out too! :wall:

Washed it, went for a short drive, needs washed again!!!!!

filled it with diesel, put a new tyre on it and washed it, Yeti anyway, then washed the Fabia as it was minging!

Day four of ownership. Got her on a motorway for the first time; big grin. Back seats used for first time. Big grin on passengers faces. Unanimous opinion more comfortable than my Jag and disabled Mother said it was easier to get into.

Gave it a name.

Refitted my pressed front number plate :)

Collected a Chinese take-away in it.

Sprayed it with mud?

Why?

:giggle:

Fitted a Jabbasport cone in a box.

The old air filter was so dirty, and was new only in August! (though I've done around 8k in that time)

Ha. Its impossible to keep cars clean round here! I'll be taking it to the jet wash ASAP for a thorough arch cleaning session.

Fitted my new grille

And also refilled the washer fluid.

look at her and pine for the next 5-6 weeks as not dr not given the all clear to drive :(

Watched the rain wash the mud off so all the effort with the Colinite wax was worth it.

Ordered aerial signal splitter gizmo so I can, hopefully, get rid of unslightly DAB windscreen aerial.

Changed a headlight bulb (the other I did last week after it blew, this one blew yesterday). Then I emptied as many leaves as I could out of the pollen filter.

Hoovered it out, can't be bothered to wash it too cold

Nearly crashed it into a wall after forgetting how light the steering is compared to the BMW 320D I've been driving this morning. Had a Colin McRae moment on my way to work at some point too, no idea when or how, it's just all of the sudden caked in mud up the passenger side!

Fitted LEDs into the sidelights, got the irritating canbus warning, which goes away after 5 minutes... bulbs cost me nothing so could be worse!

Fitted a fresh battery yesterday
