  • Popped to the garage at lunchtime to swap coolant temp sensor. I don't think it's the problem but it can't hurt. Going to swap O2 sensor later for the spare I have. Went well, all sorted in 5 mins. T

Swore at it.

Picked my coat up off the rear footwell to find it was wet, from what appears to be a leaking OSR door seal. :@

Put the Mobius camera in the Octy and took it for a test drive.

No footage as nummnuts forgot to 'set preferences' in the GUI.

Redid the set up and will check this evening that the camera works and is aligned properly....can also see how my wife drives when I am not in my car [emoji2]

Took for MOT - and it passed again with no advisories!

Absolutely diddly squat. Looked out the window this morning to make sure it was still there and that's it.

I temporarily repaired a severed rear screenwash hose which i think has flooded my electrics.............then kicked the car hard for the first time ever .Though my anger was directed more at Skoda than the car for the dangerous design of the way the water hose and wires exit the roof and into the top of the passenger side wing[under massive tension !! ].The wires have chafed on bare metal, combine floods of screenwash with chafed wiring shrouds and wires under ridiculous tension when the boot is closed = a dangerous and potentially costly, multiple set of events. :swear:

Took her for an MOT. Advisory for brake discs which are the originals as she's now done 100k miles, so not bad I suppose. Also for front tyres (Bridgestone Turanza) which have only done 14k miles in twelve months. Pretty poor considering I don't drive like a ****!

Next service is going to be costly then. Cam belt, discs & pads all round and two tyres. Bugger.

Have to go sort out bodywork in the morning as some inconsiderate :swear: :swear: :swear: :swear: decided so scuff all down the side of it without stopping while it was parked outside. Quite shocked my alarm didn't even go off. Useless piece of :swear: absolutely fuming

Stared at it on the drive. Last time I drove it was 9th March, quite sick of my broken ankle now :(

Such a nice looking car, has aged really well

Said Grrr... At it! :swear:IMG_20150401_131837_zpsu4rvjub0.jpg

Thought you had led fogs simbo

Ran up to the parts & service dealer  -- tucked away on the side of the big, shiny Toyota dealership -- and had an amusing ten minutes as the poor guy on the parts desk tried to find the part number of the two flanged bushes I need for the shift linkage. Eventually got them ordered, with the extortionate price of ... ... 20p apiece.

Will be out to pick them up next week; which will probably result in me being hilariously excitable about actually being able to shift gears properly again!

Took it for a brisk drive up into the Dales!

Bradford, to Harrogate to Ripon, A1M & off for Leyburn, stopped off for a cuppa & slice of cake. Over to Hawes, did a taste tour of the Wensleydale Cheese creamery & made a few cheese purchases. Next, through the Dales to Skipton via Kettlewell, Kilnsey & Grassington. From Skipton, on to Ilkley for some tea.

146 miles later, we're back home. An excellent drive & decent weather! :)

Sounds a good run have to do it for a yorkshire meet sometime

Gave it a quick wash and dey

Sent from my Galaxy S5

Was an excellent drive out. Not sure many would be up for a run of that distance?! :D

Got buzzed by loads of BMW bikes, an endless stream. One after the other!

Methinks there must've been a BMW forum bikers day out going on today... Loads were parked up in Leyburn when we got there.

I'd be up for it lol

Gave it a nice 170 round trip to London and back to see the in-laws. Just got home.

170 miles? Lightweight!

Took it 150 miles down to Fidgets house, fitted its new Columbus radio then drove the 150 miles back. TomTom there, Columbus back, 2 different satnavs and 2 slightly different routs. Love the Columbus so fa though, great HU!

Also I ordered it's new brakes and picked these up:

I'd rather live further away tbh but was hard to get SWMBO to move away from mummy and daddy in the first go. Don't think my luck would hold out if I said I wanted to go further still.

Washed it ready for Elsecar tomorrow...

Also finally got round to unblocking the drain pipe in the fuel filler cap area.... Ended up with diesel soaked sludge in my gob when trying to blow the blockage didn't work and had resorted to having to try a suck blow method..... which was nice..... not!!! Fnarr Fnarr!!! But at least the drain pipe is now clear and anything in there now drains out behind the rear wheel as it should. :)

Today The Coffee Grinder  [beige cappucino, graunchy, grindy braked Roomster ] had a hand wash followed by foam lance, followed by a rinse and dry and carnuba wax then alloys cleaned and tyres dressed.,she's shining like never before....me?........I'm lying on the floor full of painkillers too knackered to look out of the window and admire the results of 4 hours hard work..... :p :D

Imagine how I felt after giving mine her initial snow foam, wash, rinse, dry, clay, polish and wax last year..... Took around 7 hours I think!!! Bloody Luxobarges why don't they make them smaller. ;)

Drove it to Dudley zoo and then back to Stourbridge :-)

Put the Octavia, TDI and L&K badges that I bought a few weeks ago on the tail gate then folded the seats down and put my mountain bike and skiing gear in the back ready for tomorrow.

washed mine waxed it and fitted my new alloys ready for elsecar
