What did you do to your Skoda today?

Featured Replies

Took the winter wheels off.

Sprayed arches with G101 and power washed to death.

Cleaned up brake calipers with Wonder Wheels hot wheels - Worked nice and easy.

Fitted Black Neptunes and admired the summer look!

Car looks to be higher than a Scout now! But will settle after a quick drive.

  • Picked up the new VRS: 2013 Fabia VRS by Graeme_Smith, on Flickr

  • Popped to the garage at lunchtime to swap coolant temp sensor. I don't think it's the problem but it can't hurt. Going to swap O2 sensor later for the spare I have. Went well, all sorted in 5 mins. T

  • modified the cup holder     It's now a hobnob holder

Gave Susan a mega clean, and fitted some second hand bargain A3 Sport alloys.

Its going in for a service, and I don't want to risk any scratches to my 19's :D

Got the fabia back on the road, new coilspring, new Bumpstops, sorted brake binding, seatbelt ignitor to be done on Mon by local vw specialist :).

Washed it polished it with SRP, then waxed with HD, dressed the tyres with AG instant tyre dressing, polished windscreen and applied G5, did trim and mudflaps with AG bumper gell, hoovered interior, washed mat, cleaned dash, doors and center console with AG Vinyl and rubber care and made it smell different with that AG smelly stuff. Then filled windscreen washer bottle, checked break fluid ect and then checked oil only to find out that what I thought before was correct. I had not bought a VRS. And also the spiders need to be made less welcome as they are currently taking up more room than the engine its self.

Washed, changed rear indicator bulbs, ragged it across the woodhead pass and back for work. Cleaned out all the costs cups.

Used the Citigo for a tip run; old bicycle, TV and other odds and sods. Painted the wheel nut covers. Went to the Briskoda meet at the Waddington WAVE. Still smile every time I drive the Citigo; great fun little car.

finally got around to fitting my freshly painted (properly) GT bumper :)

Finally cleaned it after 6 months possibly

Drove to the Trafford centre and back

Used works resources and tune to Jet wash the outside with TFR and a hot brush. Spot on clean as a whistle and alloys are sparkling.

Sunday. Thoroughly cleaned the inside bar the head lining which needs more TLC.

Had my Dad drive it back after I went over on my ankle at footy. Have chipped a bone so no driving for a while yet :(

Called round to the dealers to buy the new style badges and centre caps for the wife's vRS. And while i was there ordered a little something for the SuperB too as way of a little birthday pressie to myself. Something my last three cars have all had that the SuperB hasn't.... All will be revealed once i've picked them up and fitted them. :)

Wind deflectors Dave?

Not today but on Sunday just gone:

  • Jetwash rinse
  • Snowfoamed
  • Rinsed
  • Cleaned Wheels
  • Washed
  • Auto Quick Detailed
  • Topped up washer bottle
  • Checked tyres and pressures
  • Found the front badge was delaminating
  • Tried to fix a rear bulb and fouind I'd run out of spares

Then did the same cleaning routine to the Civic plus

  • Cleaned interior
  • Fixed a seat belt rattle
  • Fitted a Fresnel lens to the rear lower screen

I was well and truly knackered by the end…

Wind deflectors Dave?

Nope..... I keep toying with those though. :)

Second wash since buying it in Aug last year. I don't like cleaning it as it needs machine polished badly and it just shows up the swirlage when it's clean, but it was a desalt for the underside too for end of winter.

But more importantly NEW ALLOYS ORDERED!

Took her round the block for a drive, because I could :p

Nope..... I keep toying with those though. :)

Just trying to think what you've had before! :D

Washed the Fabia at lunchtime today as mum had managed to spray mud up one side of it.

Usual weekday travel to Office, grocery and back home :)

Treated her to a set of new floormats seeing as the backing on the old ones was breaking up. Originally intended for a Mk4 Golf - they fit perfectly in a Mk2 Ocatvia :-)

Just trying to think what you've had before! :D

Ahhhh it's not necessarily something I've added to my previous cars Steve..... Just something they've all had. ;)
