Just a quick question - will this work with a 2.0 PD TDi 8v BMM engine as fitted to the 4x4 and Scout only I understand they have a different ECU etc. and can apparently be more difficult to deal with.

They don't have a different ECU - normal EDC16 which works fine with the STS :thumbup:

OK - still working on SWMBO to convince her it's a good idea (she drives it more regularly than I do si will notice straight off... :dull:

I'm very tempted in this offer Ben, just a quick question, I already have a remap with Angel Tuning, how would that work regarding the STS and returning to standard!? :S

Also, I am probably going to stage 2 sometime later this year, how much do you charge to upgrade from stage 1 and can both maps be installed on one STS?

Finally, can the STS be used on different cars, if I change the vRS?

Hi Lee

The STS basically stores whatever map you have on there now in the slot named "Original" - of course usually that is a standard map. What this means is that if you wanted to switch back to standard at any point then your original map would not be a standard map. We can provide you with a standard map if you would still like the the option to switch to standard, but the only way to unlock the STS for use on another vehicle would be by programming the Original map back in - which in your case is of course the Angel map that you currently have on the car. That's not a problem per se, however if you wanted to be able to sell

the car as standard then it is a bit of a problem.

The upgrade to different stages of tune is £100 and minor tweaks (such as cat removal, EGR removal for the derv drivers etc) are £25. You can store two maps plus the original on the device, meaning you can store Stage 1 and 2 there, or Stage 1 plus Immobiliser etc etc. You can have as many maps stored on your computer as you like and upload them to the device, as it asks you which one of the two maps you'd like to overwrite (excluding the original of course).

As for your last question, yes the STS can be used on another car but the first car needs to be put back to Original settings before the unit will unlock. Usually that's the standard map but not in your case due to the Angel map being on there currently.

As an STS owner you are eligible for a 25% discount on any future maps.

I'm up in York. Just wanted to make sure that your maps would happily run 95ron fuel, as my company fuel card won't allow me to buy 98ron :no:

Seems like i will be in too, but just to clarify having read the last post, are you providing a standard stage 1map on the device that everyone will get, or will the map be different depending whether we want it for 98 ron fuel or 95 ron fuel?

Will the STS unit load the same map that you would offer at your workshop as a stage 1 map?

Does the STS unit have a warranty (i couldn't open the guide link provided earlier for some reason)
