New Gti Recall

Featured Replies

And the crust wouldn't break thus resulting in a recall....

You spoke too soon:

VAG Press Release

December 2004:

Bread Crust – Important Information

It has been reported that crust can break on Sandwiches with Jam, Marmite, Ham and Cheese fillings, and can lead to taste or reduced edible performance. The problem is caused by an bread making issue and in no way endangers the Sandwich or the eater. We have not therefore, issued a recall notice in respect of affected Sandwiches as this is not a safety related issue. Should a break of crust occur, you will fail to recieve the full taste.

We acknowledge and sincerely regret that some eaters have been inconvenienced and wherever possible, we have and will continue to provide a loan Sandwich whenever a customer's sandwich has been awaiting replacement parts.
