Mine came today! PURE WIN!

Thought I'd give these a go BUT

Arrived today

Fitted today

RUBBISH

If you have blown your rear speakers or do not have rear speakers then they are well worth it

If your rear speakers are OK don't bother - no bass - lacks mid range and the tweeters are very poor

Hi Tas,

I bought them thinking they might be an upgrade on the existing setup and they were being sold off cheap. Having bought them now I can see that they are just standard speakers for Fabia's without rear speakers fitted. The standard VRS setup is much better. Just by looking at them I could tell they were not up to much, I then did a quick comparison which confirmed it.

If you think that they are better then most proberly your original ones were on the way out or they fitted different ones to the later models

IMO they look a lot better than the standard ones and the sound quality is better r u sure you've got your stereo set up right

It's not always about the Watts ratings how good a speaker sounds, but it is down to personal opinion and if yours is they're not good then that's that. But I wouldn't expect any bass on a 10cm speaker. Have not got to try mine out yet.

;)

Sorry if I have upset you guys

But Tas my headunit is setup correctly

and anewman I know its not about watts but its about sound quality and yes I was not expecting mega bass but there is less bass out of these Blaupunkt ones than the standard ones

When I said looking at them I did not mean the info on the back I was talking about the design of the speaker.

Those of you that are into decent sound staging will unplug or throw the rear speakers in the bin completely! It's all about the front speakers IMO.

I agree

Just trying to save the members some money

Everyone is buying them, but for VRS spec cars they are worse than the original

Karl

my rear speakers were badly in need of replacement and for £15 you cant complain at all.

As I said in my original post if your rear speakers are shot then they are well worth it.

I got me a set of these for my VRS.

http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/pioneer-ts-1002i-custom-fit.html

Has the right connector and is a simple out with the old in with the new. Only has 1 connector tho so it gets rid of the tweeter in the rear door. not that anyone would mind that tho lol

These are no doubt better for a bit of sound to fill the rear (faded more to front speakers) than bunging some 6x9's in the parcel shelf :)

Also korban have you got the standard stereo or aftermarket? If standard that could be why. Cos when I got my double din just doing that improved my speakers as it was giving more power to the speakers

Hi Tas,

Running a JVC KW-NX7000 DoubleDin Headunit on low power mode as to not blow the speakers.

The speakers are definitely not as good as the originals. Should have pointed out that in the past I worked in a automotive loudspeaker manufacturing company, spent two and a half years testing speakers and then 6 years in the Quality department so I do know what I am talking about.

I have an sdi comfort with the standard rear speakers. Would these be the same standard fit as the v r s? trying to work out if the "upgrade" is worth it for me. I have to say the standard tweeters in my ear are quite irritating

Hi ctiltman

I don't know for definate if the same quality speakers are used in both the comfort and VRS, but these would fit as they are the same size, a common mod is to disconect the rear tweeters any to stop them irritating your ears. If your rear speakers are shot it would be worth changing them for these but if not keep them and disconnect the tweeters.
