The ultimate Mk2 wheel whore thread

Hoping the uk prices will be the same.... Otherwise import duty and customs 'handling' charge would make them too expensive :(

Not particularly exciting, but a Golf GTd pulled up next to me in the petrol station with standard 'Seattle Shadow' alloys and they looked fantastic.

Yeah agree don't look bad at all

For the Octavia?

Correct, back up for the 19s and a bit of track maybe, or maybe even replacement for the 19s

Look incredibly like Speedline Turinis. Uncanny!

Good choice

Bit of a thread revival and unfortunatly have no pics but im a new fl mk2 vrs owner and would love to fit 8.5x19 et47 now going by end of this thread they 'should' just fit but id like to run 225/40/19 is this a no go and would i have to sacrifice for 225/35/19 it will be running on either eibach pro at 20mm lower or the pi at 30mm, cheers all

Speedo will be out if you ran 225/40 19

Standard 18" on the mk2 octavia run 225/40 18. When you go up a size you should drop 5% sidewall to keep the speedo as close to the original as possible.

225/35 19 is the tyre to go for. But you could argue the standard wheels are 8.0" wide and the 19s are 8.5" wide so 235/35 19 will also be fine and will give plenty of give (like the 225/40 18s).
