Arrived at a local country park earlier and this (? Buzzard) dropped a squirrel right in front of the car!

My camera was in the boot sadly so had to make do with Dashcam footage

Sorry to report the squirrel didn't make it although a real privilege to see up close...........

(? Buzzard)

Yeah, common Buzzard 👍

My Brother had a pair many years ago (pair for only a short time, as the somewhat bad tempered female killed the male).

Occasionally we get a red kite take a bird in flight and land in our back garden to devour its catch, my son has taken photos of it on a number of occasions, and we get left with after that is a load of feathers, which it plucks from its kill.

We had a Sparrowhawk join us for dinner yesterday.  We had pizza, he had starling:

Phone on full zoom - didn't want to disturb him.  Got a video too, but it's a bit grisly.

"Enjoying" the weather in Ulverston, I see :)

Some years back there was (and maybe still is) a superb seafood restaurant right on the coast on the eastern side near Ulverston.  If I can recall the name or look it up I'll post it.

Found it: https://thebayhorsehotel.co.uk/

I used to work for a company based in Ulverston and would have to travel up on a regular basis either taking customers up for a factory visit or to attend all sorts of meetings (I remember there is or used to be a crystal glass works there and I have been around there and watched the craftsmen create some beautiful crystal dishes etc. The hotel of choice the company used was the Swan, a few miles out of Ulverston at Newby Bridge, lovely place, top-notch food.

Glorious evening.............

Twilight, looking over towards the end of the South Downs:

I quite like this photo, even though I appreciate its quality isn't all that.  The Sun had just gone, the Moon just up, lovely pinky orange hues over the Downs and the sky's blue was splendid.  A case of the camera not quite being able to capture what the eye could behold I'm afraid.

+1 👍

Micks one's obviously more photogenic.  Mine comes through somewhat akin to the Millennium Falcon making the jump to light speed 🙄

We only had one sunflower this year, the rest were eaten by slugs and snails.  It's just made it above our 6' garden wall, so can watch the Sun go down:

Gaz

I managed to grow one last year gaz and a squirrel came along bit the head off and buggered off with it🤬

Camera phone shot of Stewart on the roof. Before and after. Removed the wires and the edge of the telegraph pole down the right side using A.I. in Adobe Lightroom. Left the wire shadow on the fascia board though.🤣

@B33fy Impressive, but it also left the shadow of the left hand wire on the wall as well as totally changing the exposure and colour of everything else in the photo.
