After a recent trip to Iceland, I thought I would share some of my very amateur efforts of the Aurora Borealis.

 

We were very fortunate as the four days we were in Reykjavik had the most Aurora activity that they had seen in a good number of weeks apparently. We were even treated to a little show from the balcony of our apartment, which was right in the middle of the City, which was pretty rare given the light pollution.

The picture of the Praying Mantis is really good. I do like taking pictures of Insects, Jumping Spiders are particularly good subjects as they tend to get quite aggressive towards the camera lens and as such you get some really nice displaying shots.

Beautiful winter day yesterday: full sunshine, -5 centigrades, two inches of snow. A touch of fog in the morning frosted everything, including this frozen fox
