Shame it has to be like this Ross but hey ho big brother and all that. Even more of an argument for people to remain anon on forums.

Sorry to hear about this Ross. It is a big loss to Briskoda and I hope you do come back at some stage in the future to let us know how the new project is going.

Anyway mate, take care adn hopefully we will still see you at events etc. :(

Hope this will be the end of it then - hopefully you will be able to get some pics of your car to the site via other means :)

:( What a bloody shame. Can't understand it at all. Wish you the best of luck with your job and new project. Hope to spot you around Northants sometime.

Derek

good luck Ross

Ross

It's a shame it has to come to this, but obviously job comes first

all the best mate

Good luck with the pick up project.

Hope all works out well.

Ross,

Hopefully everything works out okay and Skoda UK see the benefits of your advice which helps many Skoda owners.

Ross

Thank you for the introduction to Briskoda and.........

May the Force be with you............... :jedi: Always

Sorry to see you go Ross.

Things are obviously quiet at Skoda UK HQ....

Skoda UK, what a bunch of jokers. I find it unbelievable that somebody in the spare time out of work can't participate in a Skoda forum just because he works for them. For a start I believe it is wrong that private/work lives should be mixed let alone scrutonised at work. Ross was a commited Briskoda member who if anything promoted the brand to a lot of the younger audience i.e. Me, prehaps Skoda don't realise just how many young vRS owners we have on this forum now, it's people like Ross which have helped eliminate the Stigma attached to the Skoda badge on the online community, don't forget we speak to our friends/family/work colleages and what we say determines the future of your success. I will not insult Skoda incase it affects Ross in anyway, as some people clearly have nothing better to do and enjoy wrecking a good forum, whichever pen pusher made this decision though IMO should take a long hard look at themselves, you certainly know how to alienate your most committed punters, prehaps i'll buy a Mini Cooper next time as BMW don't seem to have a problem with online DISCUSSION forums.

GOOD LUCK WHATEVER YOU DO MATE.

Can IP blocking be set up for certain large users? I am sure the information available is of great comercial interest - better than any questionare or marketing campaign for gathering info.

Good luck Ross,

Steve

Luckily they'll never know who I am, so I can mod my car all day/night long and then get it serviced without saying a think and they'll have to stump up the bill.

He he he he

Bummer! They don't like it up em.

All the best Ross.

Thats a bold claim to make when you have your number plate posted up in another thread...

All the best Ross :)

Can you put it back to standard for servicing?

Road tests...

;)

Hmmm. I think getting serviced away from main dealer is the only way for it not to noticed... My dealer tried mine out when I was in for a post warranty expiration repair (think it was the new ARB) and he said, "my, that's quick!" :D And that was in comparison to a satndard vRS.

 Cheers, Ross. I'll try bumping that thread for you, or maybe see if a cupranet member might have them? I suspect you're presence on their will be more acceptable, if perhaps not as welcome as on here.

Keep in touch one way or the other. :)

good luck ross ,hope to see you at a meet some time

I'm sure you will, he'll be the one i'm letting into a traffic jam :D

Oh well that's no good! You're not even an employee of Skoda UK, and I'm sure you've always been mindful of your professional obligations and commercial sensitivities...blummin' liberty, and a real shame for the site community :( ...actually 'site community' makes us sound like pikeys but you know what I mean :D

Good job you're not a litigious person, because from a contract law perspective Skoda appear to have put themselves in a very actionable position and I'm sure the myopic pen-pusher trying to make trouble for you neglected to take proper counsel beforehand... course it's OK for him to expose Skoda UK to liability  ... (naturally you're 100% right not to want to kick up a stink for yourself and your employer)

Thanks specifically for answering my suspension question a few weeks ago (by the way Skoda - my car is still well within warranty and now every time I get a rattle or squeak I'll have to book it in to the dealer as a first response, way to go, great business decision  wastes your dealer's time and your money).

Cheers Ross - as well as the fount of all knowledge you've been a top bloke to boot

This makes the point of having this community even stronger.

we talk about being very angry and the liberty of SKODA UK in taking this action against a community that promotes there brand on the new information gatherer that now commands more understanding from the manufacturers and if a little interaction was embarked upon a good relationship could be started as opposed to alienating themselves to us.

so why don't we make a template for a letter to SKODA UK that we can all add our names to requesting some answers from them explaining there lack of acceptance of the site and the reasons behind the actions taken so far.

A piece of advice to SKODA UK,we are a asset to your brand and product, the sooner you realize this and get into the 21st century and take it on board the sooner you will see the benefits.
