I personally cant think of a reason why it would upset them, at least not in a bad way, but i could always send his Murdo, his Father a message on Facebook pointing him to this and other threads??

It's something his friends want to do to remember him, so thats our reasons for not asking so far.

I should maybe point out I still think the memorial meet is a good idea just wouldn't want to cause the family anymore upset.

I dont think there is any reason to contact them, i.e. may upset them more?

It shouldn't have any real bearing as its a group of guys getting together to remember him.

If anyone wants to contact the family, it's up to the individual...........

As its already been said, i dont think the family would mind plus they will have a lot to etc
