Something like cobra will be good then. They're a uk company to

Yes Charlie, handy and as they are made here you can get a tweaked set made.

It may seem odd paying for branded seats and losing the logo. But I want them to blend into the interior as much as possible.

The headrest logo is a bit OTT for this car IMO.

A Yeti track weapon is a little OTT Richard..... You will certainly be unique mate

That's what drew me to them. I've been thinking about getting some more supportive seats for track days and things myself

What colour calipers did you go for? Thy do a nice range of colours :)

I went for grey Charlie, keep it simple and not too "in your face" as I'm sticking with the stock rims for now too.

No logos on them either.

Also ordered a set of Corner Weight Scales so I can see how changes effect the balance of the car too.

Might be interesting to keep a log on here.

Handy if anyone else wants to check their car too. ;)

Best get coilovers so you can adjust it's weight distribution then :p

I was just going to get the passenger to sit in the boot... ;)

^^ that is what a tow bar is for, a bit of weight hanging out the back..

Before you go ordering seats richard, we have loads of seats from corbeau and can order them in any style direct from them ;-) They were the ones that did the white backed ones for my edition 30... they were the first custom ones they done :-)

Sounds like I need to pop up. :)

Oh my, I leave Briskoda for a few months and this is what happens!!!!

Interested to know how the brakes turn out Richard, as I've looked at these for my Octavia but unsure about any reliablity issues. They are very well priced. Also upgrading the fronts?

Still wouldn't mind a yeti for myself!

Yes, upgrading all round M12.

I'll report my findings.

Currently running the stock 312mm VRS kit on my diesel with upgraded pads.

I'll get some Vbox data logs of braking distances for how the stock 1.8tsi brakes compare to the 312mm and the PB Brake kit.

That would be interesting, I should hopefully soon have James I's 312mm brakes from his Golf with some nice Ferodo pads, have high hopes :)

Look forward to the results Richard.

Still thinking of upgrading mine all around after killing the rears at the last track day.

Oh nice that will be subtle then. Black also works to hide them

Let me know what they have :)

Rears?

That's unusual.  Mind you, I'm guessing they have seen some Brisky action. :)

Yep, killed the caliper on one side. The brisky action was the cause......or so the garage says.

just a wee bit of action ;)

Cheers for the pm link to this Richard. :) Sounds interesting as we are certainly lacking in KO4 Yeti's around here! :)

However, I did look into the PB brakes quite extensively (including banging a dozen+ emails backwards and forwards to Dan at PB brakes and discussed them with people I respect within this market - Dave Brown, (DaveB) was one) but in the end decided against them. I discussed the caliper specs/weights and read about a few quality issues with them and after working out the total price including import charges (all minimised) ;) there actually wasn't much of a saving on a relatively unknown brand - that was my verdict anyhow. The whole issue about having to return the faulty item to them overseas didnt appeal either if I'm honest. However, Dan's support on email was exceptionally good so I'd guess any issues (if they even arose!) would be dealt with effectively. I'll be very interested to hear what your opinion is once they are fitted and bedded in. :)

Thanks for the feedback.

I do believe I am the forum guinea pig here which is fine.

I looked at other options but all had some form of compromise unless spending a lot.

Are the dimensions of the cylinders the same as Brembo? Most things from the East are direct or very close copies, so in the event of a seal failing or something like maybe a standard repair kit from another brand would work?

I am sure they will be fine, after all they are brakes and should be made to a standard.

Yes there is some component/sizing alternatives James.

But I don't have the data to hand right now.

We are talking about brakes here and there are loads out there.

They didn't just invent the wheel. :)

Something not related to yeti's but any car with esp. If you like to drive roads with lots of bends, chances are high your rears will wear out quicker, mine have and did on the superb (big tail). Basically the esp is likely to fire on your rears over your fronts, thus leading to more wear overtime. Two cars now have gone the same way, maybe I like b roads to much. Citigo should even the count, no esp and drums, mind you the handbrake feels better ;)

I had this with my diesel Yeti on track Colin, but changing the ARBs to H&R VW Golf ones tightened it up, reduced lean and stopped the ESP coming in.

It gets a bit light on the rear under hard corner entry, the ESP doesn't come in until the back is already stepping out to 5 or 10 degrees and a drift is starting.

May be worth upgrading your ARBs so the car doesn't feel itself leaning as much?

My tyre wear is fairly equal, slightly heavier on the front... But not by much.

Edges are a bit mullered though! :D
