You'd better buy yourself another set of bathroom scales just for the Yeti ;)

I'm looking forward to Monday when I can take it back to work and get on the corner scales again! :D

I've got another two days first though...

it will be a great unveiling to see how much weight has been shed! haha

Electric window motors and door cards? A nice pecan door card and pull wire handle lol.

Sounds like a fun weekend Richard!

Lots of plastic engine covers to remove?

I got the scales out to weigh my wheel and the battery is flat :(

I'm sure we have a spare 9v battery somewhere

Richard took me out for a spin in the Yeti vRS tonight and I must say it was bloody good fun!

For something as inconspicuous as a Yeti with that much get up and go its awesome!

Made a 5 series BMW look like he was standing still

I second Ad Lav - the yeti vrs is awesome. So smooth and planted and loads of GO hehe def loads of fun. Cheers for the little demo ride Boss.

Looking good Richard.

How is the Yeti riding on the KW V3's?  What is the comfort level like for daily driving use?

From my ride out in it i would say pretty damn good. Certainly no harder than my old vRS on AP coilovers.

KW are renowned for being one of the best in terms of longevity and comfort.

It's fine.

If I wasn't tracking it I'd have it slightly softer.

Part of the hard ride is the carbon buckets with 3mm thick cushions though.

It was better when it had regular seats! :D

If I hadn't taken the seats out I'd leave it alone.

I am a big fan of the KW v3 sets, had one on my mk1 Fabia vrs too.

They have enough adjustments to get the ride you want for your intended use.

except for when you need extra spacers to lift the car lol

:)

I'm starting to get used to it like this...

Have you weighed the car today to see how much you were able to shed over the weekend?

  • Author

It was about 7kg, didn't have time to do anything to the car or weigh it today.

Looking forward to Brands tomorrow, but not too confident in the stock road biased pads the kit comes with.

Did half a dozen hard braking sessions on a quiet road and they smelled a bit...

I suspect they'll be the next thing changed.

Will need to get them out and look for replacements.

They use a popular size apparently so at least there are options.

When I started looking at lighter battteries I did see the lithium ones, but they were around £600 in the capacity I need and 3kg.

Compared to £250 for a 9kg lightweight lead one.

That's an expensive 6kg...

Don't mention the seats. :bandit:

Ah,

Perhaps I was mislead by the from £176!

Haha, I'm just trying some performance friction pads in my big brakes, will let you know how they hold up :)

I know a guy in the GTROC who does testing for them and apparently they are quite good.

Need to be to slow down one of those 1,800kg fat boys! :D

Good stuff, will be nice to get the brakes on at last. Had my TT over the weighbridge in work, weighed in at 1440kg! Fat hairdresser car!

Almost the same as the Yeti vRS.

Not what you'd expect! :D

More space for hair too, with the buckets in I could wear a top hat in there...

Hope it goes well tomorrow round brands :)

Ditto. Look forward to seeing a video or two

Brake pads: not too clever!

At least if you leave your pads as a molten puddle on track, it might slow down the performance machines trying to catch your 'lightly modified' Skoda Crossover

Have you had any WTF !!!!!! reactions / Question.

BTW - am a tad miffed i missed the opportunity for a ride in the Blue Streak  on sat :(
