And just to make it better, the R8 was a limited GT which if I remember cost the best part of 160k with the Carbon Fibre Kit.

Wowsers.

Looked better with the roof off than the Yeti though.

next project, Yeti vRS cabrio :D

Now just need a 2.5TFSI for the winter... :D

;)

Actually Lee, this project just points out the sense of starting with a good car rather than excessively modding a more basic one.

1.8 petrol turbo.

Four wheel drive.

Good chassis hidden under enthusiastic ESP.

Off the shelf Golf/Octy VRS parts.

Proven big turbo kit.

Kind of makes everything other than the bonkers Citigo redundant for me.

I think I've found my happy place in Skoda tuning. :sun:

Roomster Scout 1.8T :D

Roomster Scout 1.8T :D

in blue with a beige interior

Sounds pretty good - is this your ideal Roomster by any chance Lee? If it ever happen I know who'd be first in line to buy it ;)

I'd want a red one with the dark interior but this isn't about a Roomster ;):)

It's about an awesome Yeti

:)

That will be impressive Richard. The pb website lists the part numbers of possible brake pads to use

I wasn't 100% sure so I messaged Dan at PB Brakes on FB.

I got a response within 24 hours, listing three different pad options from big names and the part numbers.

They are very good at customer service.

What about a sintered pad, like an offering from Carbone Lorraine? Good bite from cold and serious stop power when hot!

Better to take the uprated pads advised by the provider of the brakes.

You can easily shoot the discs with too aggresive pads.

Looking at those pics I'm not sure it needs to be raised! Looks quite good like that!

I have to say that I didn't like it like this, but actually I do now.

It only looks odd next to another Yeti.

On it's own it doesn't look odd at all.

I think I've got used to it and the arch gap back and front is the same.

Personally I think it looks just like a Yeti should look, the arch gap is too big as std.... anyone would think they are meant to be driven off road! lol

Wow that looks good :)

Great photos, looks brilliant on the move :)

I am inclined to agree with Gizmo68, having seen my std next to yours, given i will not be off roading i cannot see why it should not be dropped to the same height as yours to give it the less look of it being on stilts.

This would also look to be the proper height for the ' Urban Version '

This looks like it could be a group buy for Yeti owners for lowered suspension

How much lower than std is it sitting at the moment Richard? ... because I do like the stance!

I think it's 30mm at the front and 40mm at the rear.

Give or take a few mm.
