just finishing the mirrors. as i mentioned, 1 of them looked really bad, i thought i was going to have to strip right back and re-do it but for once, i have not gone "fk it" and have just spent hours flat and polishing them both!

Yours looks almost as good as mine. My turbo went pop 7,300 miles after mine looking like that. If you get a whistle you cant place, then that's the turbo unhappy.... But you will already know that.

I did same to an alloy when I was working nights during Olympics, parking, hit a low curb, sorry scraped down kerb as I parked. Tis a sh1tter when it happens, as you spend soo much money on them.

Gutting mate :(

Whats that oil filled fingie ?

Does it get looked at on services does it ?

Yours will be fine buddy it only does that when car is driven ;-)

:(

Lepsons?

They've done a few sets of wheels for me now, always a top job and the pricing is good.

Knowing you, you'll soon have that sorted.

I started to drive it :D then broke it :(

He obviously likes his cave lol

Whats that?

It's the oil pick up. Not good when it gets blocked like this.

This the reason I said a year or so ago that this should be a service item I've seen lots now and 50% have either turbo failure straight away or a few thousand miles later

All for a £9 part :-(

Is this a part that's only on Octavia's or does the Fabia have an identical part??

lol, i can't believe you are painting and compounding in your living room!

Best way to do it, watch tv and have the missus to hand for tea/coffee, instead of being stuck outside freezing

He has a very tolerant wife

no painting, only messy stuff! lol

the wife is spot on, shes had 14 years to get used to it! Tho she did frown at me for droppping Vpower oll over the then new laminate floor from when i had half my scooby engine in here! haha!

You may be able to save that with a really fine grade wet n dry and a good machine polish...
