Hobby motorcyclist.

Mine is based on a Suzuki GS1000 from 1982, but most parts are from a Kawasaki Ninja 250R. Also, since I have a mate at SBP (Swedish National MOT testing), its been registered as a 49cc moped. Hence the reason I get away with it. Since I don't have A1 or A certification. Don't worry, it still goes like I lit a fire under its arse. Just a matter of mix-up in the paperwork. :D

I'd upload a pic, but its somewhere in northern Sweden atm. I lent it to a mate.

Lol you dodgy sod :)

Keen motorcyclist.

First Bike was a Honda H100s.

then had a tuned Honda MBX 80 - twin front discs - Fab stoppies on that one :giggle:

Had an Suzuki SB 200 - - hideous 4 speed box - real rattler. But fine to get me to college.

Honda 250 Superdream - -so dull I think I only rode it twice

One of my Favourites - Yamaha XJ550 - loved that bike.

Yamaha XJ 600 - much prefered the 550 - prefer a naked bike.

Kawasaki ER5 - ok

Honda CB 500 with ABS

Yamaha 600 Fazer

Currently - Suzuki 650 Gladius - which I adore. Do love the sound of a V-twin

Always wanted a Yamaha RD 350 LC or a Kawasaki KH 350 triple - may keep an eye out on ebay.

Nice bike the ST1050 great first bike choice I am a sports tourer fan not had a shot on one of those triumphs but they have a very good solid reputation! Have you been far or have you any tours planned? Ever tried the ZZR1200 it was perfect sports tourer for me a forgotten one of sorts too. Catches so many folk out looks like a bit of a tourer but has real raw power behind it. I will likely hunt another good one down.

I'm an occasional motorcyclist now. Passed test in 1980.

First bike was Yamaha FS1E moped!

Then Suzuki GT250

Yamaha RD400

Husqvarna 390

Yamaha LC350

Maico 490

Kawasaki GPZ750 Turbo

Yamaha XTZ750

Suzuki DR350

Aprilia Tuareg 600

Suzuki DR350 again

I've had a KTM Duke for last 10 years which provides plenty of fun, without risking your licence and life!

(If I want to go fast, I stick to the work R1200's)

Looking good what year is she?

My current bike is a Bandit1250 and just love the power delivery.

I have had faster bikes - ZZR1100 and a ZZR1200, but the Bandit is easier to live with :)

ZZR1200 ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh what a nice all rounder :hi:

Do ex-bikers count?

This isn't mine but it's exactly the same to what I had

IMG_1696.jpg

1992 ZXR400L

Rear shock was like a piece of stone. Did 10hr on it one day and could hardly walk for 3 days after it.

lololol "Ex Bikers" there is no such thing officially you are just between bikes  thems the rules and you know it. Why are you taking your "extended time" between bikes?

This is my current ride...

A Tiger 1050 with heated grips, scottoiler, HIDs, self built LED indicators and hazards, autocom and full luggage.

It's been all over the UK and France and has briefly seen Italy and Switzerland.

F31D0001-3.jpg

It replaced a 900 Hornet which, as you can see, was not standard ;)

a4cbb751.jpg

Before that a Hornet 600FS

DSCF2531web.jpg

And going back from there was:

2000 Kawasaki ZX6

1992 RRN Blade bought 2nd hand in 1995 (why I ever sold it is still a mystery to me)

CB900 F2

CB750F

400 Superdream

250 Dream

SL250

And my first was a Honda SS50 5 speed moped.

I am currently eyeing up the Explorer, Crosstourer, Crossrunner and both versions of the Tiger 800

CFB I am officially jealous!

I'm blushing now.

Guessing it was the Blade that made you green?

Too true. More addictive than heroin.

New house followed by, a bigger house followed by small person sapped all my funds.

It didn't help that I threw the ZXR and myself down the road. didn't do much damage to the bike or myself but scared the crap out of SWMBO and my folks so they're very much against me getting another one.

Still I've seriously considered trading in the VRS for a commuter/sensible bike like an F800. Then it snows.

ZXR400 was a bad first bike, it's quite difficult to ride compared to something like a CBR600. Turned out I was happier tootling around than trying to get my knee down. ZXR400 only really worked well when you were out to wring its neck.

Well time I joined in with this.

Been riding for the last 20 years, though have to admit didn't ride last year due to broken bike and family commitments.

Here's a pic of my current bike

just need to get it running again asap. Need more track time
