Which Fabia would you recommend ?

Featured Replies

you could get a good MK1 2.0 for 1k?! :p

heated seats, 4 electric windows, seat belt pings, etc... :)

@ Holly I reckon you may be able to get a leggy 1.0 or 1.4 mpi Fabia from the early noughties if you look around. The 1.0 would be gutless though and the 1,4 8 valve is quite thirsty and high emission (and therefore tax).

If I had £9k to spend on a Fabia I'd go for a nearly new 1,2 TSI 105. I would be very reluctant to buy a Euro 5 Diesel unless I did a lot of long runs.

I dont even remember seeing a 1.0 fabia ever!

Not in this country anyway. I think there was a 1 litre car available but only in east Europe IIRC. Its 0-60 was pretty terrifyingly slow :o

Mike we did get the 1 litre from 2000 to 2002. I am a nerd and you must never argue with a nerd :) I still have the original sales brochures. I don't think many found owners here (anyone: I'll post in the Fabia 1 forum ?)It started as a 45 bhp with 0-60 in 21 seconds and uprated later to 50 bhp which helped it storm to 60 in a mere 18 seconds :p

Thanks everyone for you help on this. Finally got a dealer 2010 Fabia Estate 1.2 SE with 11,000 on the clock for under £8k.

Love it so far.
