  • Reflection appears to show some old man wearing a bra!

  • Can someone with the new badges post up some before and after dyno curves, please, as I’m anxious to know how many extra horses they are making

  • My original badges were starting to delaminate and were looking tatty so I decided to change them out for the newer black ones. Very happy with how they look and I think the suit a black car nicely.

Yup it is, if you try and change it you can get the badge lodged in your head if the air bag goes off lol

Sent from my GT-I9100. Not a Crapple!

I spoke to my dealer today about the badges & was advised that these are non returnable as they are NOT UK spec.

I did how ever find out that the new SKODA lettering on the back of the citigo is available to purchase from a dealer @ £17.88 incl V.A.T.

As far as the front & rear badges are concerned, I really would like to swap these to the new silver ones, as they would blend in nicely with the car, but am still not convinced whether it should be flat or convex on the rear of the car, my current one is convex.

My dealer didn't mention about non-returnable. They carry standard Skoda part numbers so should be absorbed straight back into stock if they turn out to be a no-go.

I have purchased one convex and one flat for my car (see sig) and will be trying the rear one first so I can try both the flat and convex to see which fits better.

Either one will require "creative mounting" as it's 10mm bigger than the old one. My current thinking is as it sits over the resses and I'll need to use something like "no more nails tape" to help secure, the flat one may work out the better option for the rear.

I think he didn't reply because indifferent to trainspotters he is an Eddie Stobart spotter and must have had to run out with his flask and marmite sandwiches and rubber underwear to sit by the A90 on the off chance one crawls past.

He has no friends ! :giggle:

Not really commented or followed this post but have to say, the new badges on your car look awesome.

Sorry to add to your topic

Rear badge on FL, yes is bigger than original . The original badge came off very easy, the double side tape stayed on body and I just added some more tape to cover the 2 holes and some on the sides to make a circle.

The front badge seems to be stuck on very well, still fighting to take it off without damaging the grill surroundind.

Here´s de result

Looks good black on black

I wussed out. I started trying to get the old badges off and got scared :)

My car gets it's first service on Monday and the dealership have said they will replace my wheel centres and also remove the front and rear badges so will wait until then.

Damn, you're more trusting of main dealers than me Stoofa. Last time one tried to replace my front skoda badge under warranty, they trashed the grill surround and ended up having to give me a brand new grill surround and badge.

Nobody will ever take as much car with your car as you.

:giggle: Nick said "car". I have my old grill surround and badge still sat in locker at work might have a go at that as a trial run if I decide to order some badges.

I have followed this thread from the start and I still am non the wiser as to which flipping ones I need to order for my FL hatch :( so much confusion.

Well I have a mate with an FL, they look the same size as mine, I am ringing the dealer tomorrow , ( Citygo light switch on order) have a mate in charge of parts there, I will ask her if they are the same codes for the old ones, then we will know if 601 front and 630 rear will fit

Sounds like a plan cheers. What is a citigo light switch looking like any pics?

They look a bit more upmarket, a bit Audi, I would have bought an Audi one years ago, but they are backlit red, rather than green. I have had to wait 2 weeks as I was the 1st person in the world to order one, before the car was officially launched and they had to produce an ETKA code to order it :giggle:

Is it different to one in this pic?

Cannot see any detail in that photo, the new ones are a 3d finish on them, and make the standard ones look plain

Question you might know answer to on centre caps for wheels are they the same for Neptunes?

Yes

Yes

I really over all want the wheel ones the most but at the same time ............. can I be assed taking the fecking wheels off! They have never been off before car has 6700 miles on it they haven't turned enough to warrant removing (although one needs refurbed....23rd car and first brand spanker kerbed).

Might pop into local dealers with some part numbers tomorrow and chance it :D I am sure the rear one will be the same size surly they never changed the boot recess nothing else has changed at back bar clusters and badge locations. The FL grill surround being different I would wonder if badge could be different there.....

6700 miles and read badge typically has started to de-laminate front is 2nd badge due to new grill surround+badge for colour coding and here I am looking to replace them at my own expense. Shocking!

If you do not want your original wheel ones(and cant be arsed getting he wheels off) then put an electrical screwdriver through them and pull off , it doesnt matter how many badges it has had if still in warranty

Yea I know but still no point in replacing them with the old ones if im intending to change anyway. Would mean going to dealers saying look at these just starting to de-laminate sort it pls waiting a few days for them to get badges then book in etc to then say "while im here I would like to order these please :D " I might say order me some replacements please and I will give you the defective ones and order the new ones at same time as I don't want to be ripped off. I just don't want anyone trying to pry them off
