Christ mate. I bet your a riot at party's. I'm closer to 40 than 30 and don't appreciate being referred to as a kid, simply because I'm looking forward to getting my Blackline. In my opinion, kids d

Yes, they are excellent value and altogether a great car. Blue or black will look great, but must say (never having a blue car before now) it is a lovely colour, the metallic finish is worth the extra in my opinion. I'm happy with my colour choice.

Well done getting it thrown in I had to pay the extra, but glad I did. Mind you they gave e a really good price on the car I traded in.

[*]The bluetooth definately doesn't work despite the salesman betting me that it did and that we try to pair my phone....I won!!

Good old salesman! Just find someone local with vcds, 2 minutes and you're away :)

My new Blackline Est should be available early next week, but wouldnt i be better to wait a month till March and get the 2013 plate ?

Why? Its only a number on the plate. Yea granted you might feel its older car but nobody cares these days still a new car end of day.

I would wait, when selling it looks 6 months younger than a 62 plate blackline

Personally I'd wait, however you may have problems with the dealer. They seem to under some sort of obligation or bonus agreement to get the cars registered within so many days of delivery (think it was 14 but someone will correct me if not).

I know quite a few people have come up against this issue on here.

they said the same to me. because it was already built and ready to go, then as soon as they "claimed" it as mine in the system then there was a time limit I had to take ownership within.

Im all for customer sefvice but an I the only one who finds the idea of expecting a dealer to wait a month just to get the 2013 plate on the car a bit riddiculous?

The dealer asked if i wanted to wait, it made no difference to them ? Though there will be extra miles on my part-ex, which i said previous is on a 2011 plate.

If neither yourself or the dealer are in a hurry and are both happy to wait another month then you may as well get the newer '13' plate on the car. I should have done the same when I bought a new moped (don't laugh) last year for getting to and from work but the excitement of having something new meant that I got one of the last '12' ones instead - but I have no patience when it comes to waiting for shiny new toys to play with :D

I would just take it, the new Octavia is only around the corner, with a VRS to follow, enjoy this one as long as possible, it may mean you can trade it in a month earlier when it comes to change.

I broached this with the dealer who said they could do it but would have to "reassess" my trade in value if we went into March.

Pick her up tonight  Sneaky peak mid-valet below

Anybody else having reversing sensor probs with their blackline mines been back to dealer three times and has had the sensor control module replaced yesterday worked fine last night then this morning selected reverse and constant beep returned and meant to be something behind me according to one sensor but there's nothing there it's driving me crazy

Yep. Mine too.

But, don't be too quick to take it back to the dealer. Just dry drying out the sensors and you might find (like me) that they stop beeping by themselves.

I intend to push my dealer on the fault, but I'm not going to run back and forth wasting time until I'm sure the sensors are properly goosed.

The sensors are a common issue on vag cars. They dont like the littlest bit of moister in them. They are not faulty just a poor design. Could change every component on them and itll probily still do it. Just try a wipe with kitten roll and it nomaly draws the moister out.
