Has anyone been given a delivery date for the Blackline Octavia VRS?

Featured Replies

would of been nice to have but not essential:

Xenons

Auto Lights

Auto Wipers

Front Senors

Heated Seats

does it have auto dimming rear view mirror?

Heated seat and it would be very close to perfect spec for me. I've had all the other toys and the only one I really mis from previous cars is keyless entry.

Can a TV tunner be fitted to the head unit??

Christ mate. I bet your a riot at party's. I'm closer to 40 than 30 and don't appreciate being referred to as a kid, simply because I'm looking forward to getting my Blackline. In my opinion, kids d

I take it the Amunsden+ does not have surround sound or equalizer? the manual for it says some features are not on all units.

It does have a equaliser very basic one though.

Their was a green one outside the co-op in Lossie earlier, looked quite nice

Really. I haven't seen that one round here before. Btw what octy vrs do you have? Is it a black hatch or is it the blue estate with silver roof rails? Or is it a differant one completly? They are the only 2012 octy vrs's that i know of round here.

How many of you will get 13 plate blacklines?

Or are they all pre reg now ?

I have one on order - on the production line this week - hopefully here for first week in March - so a 13 plate. I was surprised to be able to order a silver Blackline - someone said in a different thread that 9 were being made?

Car has 8 speakers and all in the doors so no surround sound; dont think any Octavia even with the sound system upgrade has this.

No equalizer but from past experience having decent tone controls is generally better anyway; at least it allows control of both low and mid bass. Dont know about anyone else but was hugely surprised by the sound quality and lack of door panel ratting on the Octavia; sound system in MK5 Golf was terrible, MK6 much much better but think the Octavia actually has the measure of even the MK6 standard system.

The best standard fit ICE I've experienced was on my old '07 Audi A6 Avant. That said, I've been quite impressed with sound that the Amundsen+ seems to be able to create when set up properly. I can't say I felt the same about the Columbus that was in one of the test cars that I tried out though. Now if I could just get the wife to stop filling the doors with all sorts of crud I'd be able to stop all the rattles coming from them... :wall:

The RX8 I had before this had a Bose sound system and the blackline isnt far off.

Can anyone confirm the difference on maxidot between the fixed servicing and variable?

When I picked my car up the dealer said it was set at the 10,000 mile fixed servicing but when I was flicking through maxidot it came up as needing serviced in 18,000 miles or 710 days. I take it the dealer has told me a lie?

I have just sold my 40th Anniversary RX8 and I would nearly go as far as saying the sound system in the Skoda is better than the bose in the Mazda.

Whats your ideal setup if you don't mind me asking?

Cheers for the replies everyone. I only asked because it says it does in the manual., but the manual says that some features are not on all units which is stupid.

Whilst I agree the sound system is great it seems to lack bass at higher volumes.Interested to hear what settings you have gone for, and source material. All my music is 320kbps mp3 converted from flac. Not tried a CD.

Hi, I also have a Silver Manual Estate Blackline on order, which was given this week as production, but i haven't had any real update on possible delivery time.

Have you been given a date yet?

My blackline is in Garage, gearbox has been stripped, put together again but still knocking noise. Next they're inspecting fly wheel and clutch pack. It may require a new dsg gearbox ouch...this will cost Skoda 3k. Sick of driving the wifes Lupo now. Had blackline since Oct and knocking noise developed in last 2 months. Must say mitchells customer service has been great.
