Christ mate. I bet your a riot at party's. I'm closer to 40 than 30 and don't appreciate being referred to as a kid, simply because I'm looking forward to getting my Blackline. In my opinion, kids d

Nope :(

There's your answer then

Question about lights

when i leave my sidelights on and remove key and exit car it buzzes to remind me to turn lights off

when i leave my lights on full and remove key and exit car it doesn't buzz but lights go off

why is this? I would of thought main lights would stay on if in the on position.

Its because the car thinks you acidently left lights on full so turns them off fully. Leaving side lights on asumes your using them on as parking lights.

Reversing sensors are driving me nuts!! Are they made with marshmallows, spit and straw?

Well my silver Blackline was manufactured in week 8 - landed in the uk 8/3/13 - so should be on the road in it in about 10 days

Blackline in Silver it is and Im sure will look the part :)

Probably one of the last to leave the production line.

Does the chirping when locking and unlocking really **** anyone else off or is it just me that finds it utterly pointless ?

Switch it off then through the maxi dot.

i had the dealership turn it off before i picked it up. the salesman did need bit of persuading that it was actually possible

First thing I did, it's in setting on maxi dot, no need at all, don't want my neighbours disturbed every time I open my car

Alarm chirp is the best feature!

Alarm chirp is the best feature!

My neighbours love it when I get home from work at 4am!

it isnt that loud though, well i dont think it is?

It probably isn't - it just always seems a lot louder when there are no other sounds and everyone is sleeping. If it was an issue (and it isn't to me) then I would just turn it off in maxidot - tbh, I rarely use the car for work these days and I would think that the engine on my 125cc scooter that I normally use for work is a lot louder than the chirp from the alarm.

You have a diesel and are worried about the alarm chirp? more likely to be the clatter that wakes the neighbours.

Like others have said turn it off in the Maxidot if its annoying you; look for ATA confirm. I actually like its good to have an audio confirmation that the cars locked too; not particularly loud either.

Thanks for the advice everyone. Didn't know you could turn it off on the maxidot. All the chirping reminds me of the car alarms of the 90's

Wounded an alloy this morning VEEY Icy conditions slid int a kerb Grrrr straight up to painters says it should be no bother to fix. just so i can make sure he doesn't paint it the wrong black does anyone know the right black?

The can color match it to 90% acurate.

My Dad is looking for a new Octavia VRS Blackline estate. Are there any remaining? Im trying to find him one so i can have his current car!! :)
