Christ mate. I bet your a riot at party's. I'm closer to 40 than 30 and don't appreciate being referred to as a kid, simply because I'm looking forward to getting my Blackline. In my opinion, kids d

that'll be for a hatch, in non metallic white then?

erm yes if that is in relation to the blackline as mitchells - its a manual. comes with delivery miles.

In the interests of getting to 60 pages, I have just picked up my Blackline (Blue estate) and am very pleased with it, the only thing I am struggling to come to terms with is the increased road noise from the Conti sport contact 2's, are there quieter tyres out there? what do owners recommend?

I am really chuffed with the car otherwise, great performance, massive spec. Have also enabled the bluetooth and am fititng the handsfree kit next week end, Thanks to Briskoda...great community!

Bluetooth mic and loom retrofitted at the weekend; mate did it for me in about an hour; easy enough getting the car apart but dropping the glovebox and actually routing the cable behind it seemed the most awkward bit. Not necessary to disconnect the airbag switch or AC pipe by the way.

This is a fantasic mod and god knows why you wouldnt do it; an expensive OEM feature at v little cost. V well done in seeing this through Welsh_Kai_Boy!

Had forgotten how noisy Conti's are until I took a Demo Blackline out for a test drive. That car had done nearly 4k so they were worn in so to speak. When I returned to my 3 year old Octy VRS wearing PS3 with only 3mm left on front they were much quieter. Was a big fan of the Conti's but the wear rate was to high and they got noiser after about 8k.

Look's like only 2x DSG Blue Blacklines left!

Got a new race blue blackline hatchback dsg today.

collection on Thursday, it was in the compound in the back, all taped up from transit

Think it's the last one in the uk ?

I ordered my white DSG estate beginning of Jan and was told then it was only two of those left.

interesting how mine has Dunlop SP Sports on? should it have Conti's?

Most likely they were out of Conti's and the dunlops were what they had in the parts bin! same with others getting a spare over the gunge/compressor and some silver ones being avialable- Skoda probably had no blue white or black paint left!

You have to laugh

just out of curiosity what optional extras were/are available on the Blackline?

none I thought/was under the impression? apart from metallic paint, DSG and estate of course..

Blackline was TDi CR only but available as hatch or estate, manual or DSG. Over and above standard car came with Black Neptune wheels, vRS Leather upholstery, Amundsen + sat nav, Maxidot (even on manual), DAB radio and rear parking sensors. DSG car also gets MFSW.

Factory Bluetooth installed just not coded, literally needs VCDS coding and mic & loom install, easy and v cheap. Priced at base diesel vRS RRP but available with VAT discount.

the only additions/ options were dealer fit ones, no factory-fit ones

And a free full sized spare wheel (for the lucky few)...

Mine came with a spare but I still had to pay the 75 quid option cost for it. Was grateful to have it and had already got nearly 4k off so wasnt going to argue.

I'm glad mine didn't come with a spare wheel! I would only end up taking it out and building a sub enclosure in the wheel well anyway so a compressor and gunge is a bonus for me!

Thanks guys ;)

Will read up on the BT

I know that skoda offered the blackline to the armed forces about 8-10 months ago in some differant colours. There were 4 colours that they offered, white, green, grey and silver. It would be interesting to see if any green or grey ones were ever ordered because they would be even rarer than the 9 (or so) silver ones that skoda have ended up making.

Doh"

just been reading up on the spec and im sure i read the BL had xenons

anyway, car ordered, will make do with normal bulbs

would of been nice to have but not essential:

Xenons

Auto Lights

Auto Wipers

Front Senors

Heated Seats

does it have auto dimming rear view mirror?

No

ahh well!

roll on pickup date :)

Trust me front parking sensors are a nightmare after a time...
