Christ mate. I bet your a riot at party's. I'm closer to 40 than 30 and don't appreciate being referred to as a kid, simply because I'm looking forward to getting my Blackline. In my opinion, kids d

Cheers guys - will give it a try, not used to all this functionality having previously had Polo-sized cars.

Not even mucked about with the maxidot menu yet...

anyone noticed any corrosion on the front chrome grill surround?

was washing the car and saw a small spot of it, really shouldn't be happening this soon? picked up car on 14th Feb brand new!

any ideas what i should do?

mine has what i thought were stone chips on it, perhaps its corrosion , just thought it was 7000 miles of motorway driving?

hey all, im wondering if anyone has a blue blackline estate and if they can put up a photo of it? Wondering how the blue goes with the black alloys.

You are not wrong but I am loathed to spend about £50 on flaps and I hear stories about how difficult they can be to fit on the rear.

They are simple to fit, I have them on mine.

I heard they had to be modified to fit the VRS?

I've got both front and rear ones on mine (the square ones you can get as both front and rear together for around £45) the front ones go straight on, the rears are not a perfect fit but they do fit-mine have small gaps at the back underneath and I used some black I silicone between the rear flaps and the inner wheelarch, but others haven't had to so probably got a better fit than me. I took my rear wheels off as that made fitting easier but you don't need to do that on the front-swapping full lock to lock is enough if you've got a.stubby screwdriver. Some heat the rears up in hot water first to help with the fit too. They don't need modifying to get them to fit, just a bit of fiddling is needed!

They fit fine. Slight gap on the rears but not noticeable. They make the car look a lot better too.

What mpg you lot getting in your BL?

Did a tank to tank calculation and for me it's 40mpg

All A roads and I dont drive like I stole it lol

Parkers says 47 mpg

Anyone achieve more?

I've never had that low on a fill up. Last tankful I got 48mpg, mixed driving. This included a 160 mile round trip to milton keynes when I got a maxidot 55mpg with the aircon off. I'm on my phone so can't see whether you've got manual or DSG?

I picked up my Blackline estate late Jan and immediately noticed the grille was tarnished; was a bit annoyed as you dont expect that on a new car.

No arguments from dealer; they ordered another but it turned up and was so much worse than the one on the car the dealer refused to fit it and sent it back. I told the dealer not to bother ordering another.

Mines done 4k now, is a DSG and when driven half sensibly will do 45 to 48 MPG. Driving the other day it was doing 59.9 until I hit a dual carriageway!

Mine is around 50mpg (DSG). 600 miles to a tank and I try not to do more then 70 on the motorway.

Getting high 40's easily.

Current Tankfull - 45l = 10Gal = 535 when light came on. I always reset trip when light comes on.

Including a Trip to Becon Beacons from the Midlands - lots of up-n-downs in Wales, single tracks etc ;)

5000 on ODO - should still get a bit better - I'm hoping for a regular 540m from 45l. (54mpg)

That'll do considering what options 170bhp gives you in every day driving. :hi:

See my fuelly sig. 40.4 mpg atm. But then again i do like to exercise the 170 ponies quite a lot

I'm getting about 45 mpg according to fuelly now the weather has warmed up a little, not bad considering how much fun you can have!
