Its heartbreaking to have to rip it apart again but it needs to be done.

I should hopefully have some nice updates this weekend or early next week.

Cheers mate

I hope you're friends with the sprayer, you must have a lot of money to spend on paint haha

Got the bases of my seats welded up and the brackets reversed also, just gave them a bit of etch primer for the bare metal and then gloss black to blend it all in, happy with how they came out for a quick job.

Thanks mate, I get it back today swell as the bill  :notme:

The VW spec spray sealer/stone chip looks ace. Little things like knowing it's done right "behind the scenes " please me no end.

Keep up the cracking work and I look forward to seeing it home and with the rims on it

Cheers lofty, kinds words! It awesome stuff, it's rubberised so the stones just bounce off, and then I am putting arch liners in this time too.

I have done a bit of work on it tonight, got one side done, got a big day ahead of me tomorrow but I should get it something like and some nice photos up!

Looks fantastic mate. Wasn't tempted to change the colour as it was fully resprayed again?

I wasn't actually, especially with my wheels this year is suits it perfect, also with me being a perfectionist, I would of had to of had a glass out respray which from my painter would cost around 7k. Haha

It's off an mk3 octavia, same as the steering wheel man. It's a bit nerve racking having one of these, as they fit badly and sit really high, so I had to drill up the centre of it with a drill but the same diameter as the gear stick so hat it would sit lower! Just a word of caution

Nice work.

I've got the Octavia vRS gear stick as well but not fitted it yet. How did you manage to switch the leather over as i can't seem to seperate the plastic inside??

Also, how much drilling inside did you do?? I've shortened the gear rod down by an inch and drilled the inside a little on mine but it still seems to sit quite high.

The trimmers swapped over the leather for me, but in regards to the drilling, quite a scary amount, just keep doing a bit at a time, you can push it quite far in all honesty!
