So i have been looking at replacing the standard turbo as it has a small amount of play in the shaft.

The darkside GTB kit is comprehensive but seems to be a little overpriced, at £1900

Screen%20Shot%202016-02-11%20at%2012.27.

After some searching around trying to source the parts from different place's (profidiesel) I got the total price down to £823.93

The only difference being the tubular manifold, the kit from Profidiesel consists of;

GTB2260VK

Screen%20Shot%202016-02-11%20at%2012.28.

- 76mm stainless steel TIG welded downpipe

- Braided Oil feed line

- Braided Oil return

- Turbo gasket

- Downpipe GTB gasket

Screen%20Shot%202016-02-11%20at%2012.26.

- Good for 300+hp (Dyno tested)

- Stainless steel 316L

- Professionally TIG welded

- 4mm pipe thickness & 35mm ID for maximum performance

- Laser cut flanges

So at a saving of £1076.07, I'm very happy!

I will be honest and say you would be better off with a full kit off XMAN - he has sold so many kits now and has superb customer service. My kit from him was not much more than what you have quoted there and comes with a fantastic quality tubular manifold.

His kits are proven as there are many people (not just on Briskoda that are running his kits. Just my 2pence. 2260 is amazing you will love it it puts a big smile on my face each day and i'm only at 2bar at the moment..............

I have just contacted him, and he recommended the GT17/56 hybrid, which would be good for 230, as the other modification to justify having a gtb2260 is into the territory that i don't want to be in.

I don't see the problem with having a GTB2260 kit from profidiesel, front mount, remap and a clutch?? Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Its all down to money basically and what power your happy with. if your happy with 220bhp then a hybrid all day. if your thinking i might be bored of 220 and want 260 then GTB.

I have to say 220 is the sweet spot in the Fabia

The quality of the profi manifold does not look great in pictures, and they are in Romania i think so could be a pain if run into problems. Xman is proven which is why so many people even just on brisky use him. Oh and yes 1756 would be spot on as 2260 to be utilised properly definitely needs injectors at another 700 quid. Its damn expensive but great fun!

I have 225bhp and it is pretty nippy. With the right spec hybrid you can run upto 260bhp.

Some great responses there guys, the stuff I need to know, I think the GTB would be a bit of a waste as I don't wanna take it too far, I'm gonna go for the hybrid kit from X man I think!

Good choice :)

So last night I remade the false floor for the air tank.

The fitting last season was leaking, because compressed air creates water if made the MDF swell and made the fittings loose. Highly annoyed by this,

I ordered 2 new fittings, new carpet, new MDF and remade it.

Got a link to the carpet you've purchased?

I need some for the boot build I'm making.

I've seen that one before, what's the colour match like?

They vary really, if you can go into somewhere audio related you will get a better idea, I would suggest doing that.

Bit of an update on how its going,

So the car is running well, the coolant system has been bled up perfectly now with the expansion tank delete, all error codes cleared, camber shims removed,

Going off to paint again soon, to have the drivers side sill to be repainted where it fell of the jack, also the passenger side quarter as there are a few little bits
that need painting there.

Wheels should be here this week

The interior should be back soon from being dyed

All is going well.

Coming together nicely then :)

Yes mate, last night was a big night really, it won't be coming apart again unless its necessary!

Ready for the wheels, gonna repaint the callipers soon aswell

Whilst trying to reroute the coolant hoses to make room for the bleed tap I discovered that the Break vacuum hose was split!

So straight to my local Skoda garage and ordered a new one!

And no my name isn't Finnikin

Do you have the part number still and what's included?

Haven't updated this in a while, The car is up on axle stands now so that I can repaint all of the calipers red. the interior is coming along nicely, they have had a few problems but should be overcome soon.

Anyway, enough of the boring stuff. I have been building these for around 4 months, sourcing parts from california (centre caps, 0.5 dishes)

They have been with stefan over in Belgium for around 8-9 weeks for ceramic polishing.

Absolutely over the moon with how they have come out.

C6BA1FC5-858E-4E74-AA3C-C467BD5949BB.jpg

The specs are;

front - 7.5j, et35, 0.5" lips

Rear - 8j, et35, 1" lips

Full height caps with red and chrome bbs badges

Fully ceramic polished by felgenwerks + stefanpucpolish

New nuts and bolts
