Some new options for skoda vrs green caliper paint.

The kawasaki green is a much more yellowy lighter green. It will probably look lighter than that pic on the car. There is a company that does signal green brake paint on there too. The signal green is closer to the skoda one but still a little off. Really depends if you want them to look as OEM as possible or if you want a lighter shade. Have a look at the colour ranges on paints4trade and you'll get a closer one than Kawasaki green for sure. I'll update when I hear back from superskoda as they do the actual skoda green.

On eBay they sell signal green calliper paint 125ml tins which is enough to re Furb all the calipers eBay no 350604110587 its what I used and it's stayed on for 2 track days and still going strong

Thanks, good to see how the signal green looks when its on. There are a number of colours which are within 5% of the correct tone... I've just set myself the goal of getting an actual exact match... not that I'd probably even notice. I'd probably get the signal green high temp paint in aerosol form from paint4trades as the aerosol will be good for colour coding other little bits and bobs in the engine bay and elsewhere.

I have added on here elsewhere the exact color code to go to a paint factors.

I had 1/2 litre 2-pac made up for about £20.

Color is Pantone reference 348 Spring Green

I had to get this from skoda UK who contacted the factory in the Czech republic.

See here : http://www.briskoda....een-paint-code/

Please Admin probably be better if original post was pinned as this keeps coming up.?

Indeed, I know about the pantone ref, but there aren't any places who sell a suitable spraypaint/tin of paint for consumer use off the shelf to pantone references. They tend to provide mixes from the RAL or BS ranges. If you find somewhere who will sell high temp paint to pantone refs please let me know. I don't have the equipment to spray 2 pac paint. How did you put it one if you don't mind me asking? And has it lasted ok on the calipers?

Take them off and get them powder coated. Boom looks good and lasts, done all of mine in kawi green.

Are there any issues with the heat from the powercoating/blasting process?

Two pac is for brushing on calipers.

There are conversion codes on tinternet to convert pantone to RAL/BS. It is exactly the same color that BP use (and Alitalia) So just ask BP for some paint.....

Removing the seals etc seems a lot of hassle... hoping to do it without having to rebleed the system.

I though 2K paints were a professional only type product because of the isocyanate being really toxic? I guess you could just brush it on - I hadn't really thought about that.

I know there are a lot of conversion charts, the one I've found most useful from design work is perbang. Gives you all the colour specs and conversion options. Alas there's no direct conversion to RAL or BS from Pantone code 348... so if you want an oe match in powder coat for instance, it's not going to be exact. In any case, to keep things simple I've just decided to switch to RAL Traffic Green which is close enough and easy to get hold of. INteresting to know that BP use Pantone 348 strong spring green too.
