Hello Ed, i tried today

Instruments 17 > Adaption > Click on "Volume to Replenish" Change it from No to Yes

but this shows up as not available.

So what can be done by distance or you need to send you the cluster?

regards

can you read cluster eeprom?

If you can then I can help you

fairly accurate, if you convert the units to litres it is better

Thanks Eddie, managed to enable this - It's great in litres, but then every other unit is also changed, which is a pain.

Thanks

can i do that with vag com??

can i do that with vag com??

VCDS/vas-pc/ODIS-e aren't able to read eeprom data from clusters.

It normally involves removing the eeprom chip to read it or at least gaining access to connect a test clip. I think some software is able to read it in situe but it's very expensive! Probably around the grand mark...

Hi Eddie,

I'm not sure whether you noticed it or not, but the embedded pictures in your posts are missing :-( all of them. Also in the MKV forum. Is there any chance to restore them?

I've tried to make a local copy for myself with google cache and with the Wayback Machine, but no luck.

As above; I've just found this thread, and I simply adore retrofit; which I'm looking at options on my FL LE.

If you could retrofit photobucket; that would be great. Ta.

Another solution for the 3rd party pics:

        right click on the pic
copy the link of the pic
paste it into a blank page
delete the beginning of the link ending with "img=" and the ending with "&key="
        hit enter key

example (first pic on the first page):

Instead of

"https://www.briskoda.net/forums/applications/core/interface/imageproxy/imageproxy.php?img=http://i1120.photobucket.com/albums/l483/Eddie-GT/vrs2.jpg&key=59c5282cc9c83a126b9f677cdfce587f85deca855a1ddd056c73a28b682a4ca5"

use

Note that the link works only if you copy/paste it. If I make the text above as a link, it won't work.
Another issue/bug: if you refresh or go to the shortened link to many times, you'll end up again with the disabled pic. One possible solution is to paste the link into a private browser window. I suspect, that photobucket uses cookies to prevent direct link access.

This isn't an easily solved restoration. Mainly as we don't own the copyright to the photos.

The long url you listed is one which we use to proxy t he image, that is we pull a copy locally, then serve over https. So images not on secure sites are still shown securly.

The photobucket preventing external images is a problem all over the place.

We have a 100mb free allowance for members; reviewing it soon; and no real upper cap for freedom members. So if Eddie wants to upload here, he should be fine to do so.

HTH.

Ambient Lighting fitted, finally found a trim in black

Unfortunately I've lost the sunglasses holder, but as I never used it due to all my sunglasses not fitting I can live with that.

Will try and get some night time pics later
