  • Enjoyed today, will give myself a push to get on track next time. I should of hopefully managed to get a picture of everyone. First time shooting any moving vehicles so could do with some improvemen

  • Why do we all do these events ? For the most part it's the chance to get together with other like minded Skoda fans. And also the chance to explore the speed thrill and handling of your chosen ride. W

The Elise driver has put vids up of his sessions but not sure if he's cut that bit out or not. Would love to see it

I dont know has fast I got on the straight.. didn't look at the dash! lol....

I know we all had a good time and every one of us came back in good shape.

Spare a thought for this guy..............................

CC Action Day

I've done this one so far.

This is from when we stopped under the red flag and ended up behind them, through to passing them both about half a lap before the chequered flag.

It's the side camera, so a lot of tyre/wind noise. I'd advise turning your sound down a bit.

Other clips are a lot more work and for some reason the GoPros switched off after 4gb, so clipped the end off most of the sessions.

Which of course means due to the slow start and the red flag it didn't catch the VX220 and Elise...

I seen that megane parked up when i went for sound testing

A fine battle there Richard, I am guessing you were trying there too?

You can really see the white smoke coming out of mine if you watch from 5:30 onwards. :(

:D hehe

I could just imagine a rear cam view on the vxr and elise lol

Those laps are just eaten up man !!!

Get in! I am guessing the GTR is better than the VX220 and Elise from a braking point of view also, the discs on it are huge!

Yes, but I think both of those cars put together were still lighter than mine...

They were also both tweaked. Other than the engines I don't know what else they had done.

what about the old Audi Boss? did you find out what the engine tweaks were in that?!

No, but it was very quick, I only crawled past it on the straight.

It looked like a stripped out track car though, cunningly wrapped in an Avant shell.

I think after passing the VX220 I said something to Lloyd along the lines of F*** it, I'm having that Else. :giggle:

Yes...... And that was you that brought on the bit of editing needed :D

I cant say i even noticed that tbh

It really does eat the laps :D

I didn't do the track this time but would like to thank Jason for sorting it all out. A cracking day. Good to be able to put some more faces to forum names as well. I've not had time to go through the posted vids yet but the photos are great. Also a big thanks to Mr and Mrs Octygone for the cake and Miss Piggy for my birthday cake.

Next time my Yeti may place her paws on the track....

Lloyd and me cutting through traffic on the Starship Bridge.

I never noticed before that when it gets a bit easy I drive with one hand,

Good thing these internal cameras, I need to cut that out.

I know that was only a short clip, but can I ask is the GTR fun to drive ?

I know it has the grunt and that the car has outstanding handling etc, but as a driver do you get that buzz when you drive it that you do in "lesser" cars ?

Im looking forward to seeing the rest of your footage :D

It is, but I do missing having a bit more work to do.

I am not a fan of flappy paddles, which is why the Citigo is having a stick sequential shift.

You could say it's easy to get 95% out of it, the last 5% is what takes a bit of work.

I've always said on Briskoda that fun is not the same as speed.

I wouldn't be surprised if many other members were having just as much fun.

Im looking forward to seeing the rest of your footage :D

I'm working on ours now, but I'll just do the bumper cam of the whole session first as loading up three 4gb clips and working on them is going to take hours!!!

Richard.......you really need to buy a new jumper, I'm sure I've seen that one at least three times now ;)
