Blackline & Bluetooth

Featured Replies

I've recently got hold of a '62 plate Blackline. They don't come with Bluetooth but they do have a Multifunction steering wheel with all the bluetooth buttons etc.

What I want to know is it possible to get the Bluetooth working by installing the required microphone etc in the overhead console or will it be an after market kit.

Any help is appreciated.....

Do a search for my "how to" and all the help you need is there.

Bluetooth has now been activated via the medium of VCDS. I know from the above post that there is a 'How to' for wiring in your own microphone but I was wondering, is the wiring there to fit the correct Skoda part that fits into the sunglasses holder, and if it is is it just a case of plug & play or is there more VCDS trickery?

Read the how to all the info is there, just need the mic and BT enabled (which you have done).

None of the wiring is there. As Welsh Kai Boy says follow the 'how To'. You need to buy the wiring harness from the rear of the stereo, the mic and then have the BT turned on using VCDS. All that is still cheaper and better looking than aftermarket stuff though. All the part numbers are in the 'how to' too. I did mine and it works a treat.

After ordering the mic/loom from the link in Welsh_kai_boy's "how to", it only took me about 30 minutes or so to install it correctly.

Is yours Manual or DSG, as Manual cars don't come with MFSW ONLY DSG.

Manual - So that would explain it. Many thanks, feel a bit silly now
