Oh not fussed about "exclusivity" just not a fan the greys, seem too common. Like the brighter side of the colour spectrum. :giggle:

  • Can't see that anyone has posted this yet, so though I'd pop it up. New video out today.  I noticed I was the second view.   Have to say, it looks good.   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1WbzoVrIZ

  • Can you not take this to a new thread. I'm subscribed on here for mkiii vrs updates. Not the age old argument of diesel vs petrol. Christ you'll be slagging off macs and pc's next :(

  • I will never understand those that defend their own car make by slagging other makes off. OK, if you've had a particularly bad experience with a certain car make, tell the story, etc. but don't sugge

Yup.

Metor grey is not a metallic and if it is anything like Porsche's metor grey (which is metallic) it will be a very dull shade. Wouldn't be my choice.

Pretty sure it's a pearlescent paint (so might carry a higher premium?). It's a bit on the bland side unless always kept in show car condition.

i actually like the grey used in the mk2 limited edition :)

Could it be close to this? Steel Grey?

It's Anthracite - the same colour I have my FL in.

If you google 'skoda meteor grey' - you get the fabia limited edition - @ http://www.progresss...t.aspx?ID=48262

Its a bit hard to tell but it looks like an interesting flat grey (if such a thing exists) - different to the VRS Anthracite metallic. I think it'll look good if you squint at the pics of the white estate.

Grey is the new black/white!

In your picture on the link it looks a bit darker than the White Silver that BMW use on the MINI which is one of the best colours they do IMHO

Would like to see it in real life.............

Just had a look - very nice. Looks like the BMW finish is pearlescent. According to SImpsons, the Skoda grey is non-metallic but who knows until we see it.

Not for me! lets hope they keep anthracite!!

Looks like they forgot the top coat lol................

Should be called Primer Grey

If a weird grey works for Porsche (the 50th Anniversary 911), why not the VRs?

I believe that's geyser grey...pretty ghastly I agree.

I like the "weird" grey but not the grey grey.

I love that Porsche colour. My current Octy is Silver. If Satin Grey had been available, I'd have chosen that.

I'm not a fan of a garish colour for a car - i.e. a precision piece of engineering. Especially a 'Q' car like the Octy 2 FL Petrol Estate.

Each to their own though!

So, a collective dislike of a colour that nobody has seen?

That's the Briskoda way...

I'm thinking that this superb is in meteor grey - it's a new colour for the superb too - and this looks different to the standard silver. http://www.autoexpre...oda-superb-2013

"two additional metallic paint finishes - Meteor Grey and Moon White - finish off the exterior changes"

Interesting - so could there be flat and metallic versions of Meteor Grey - and which one will the new vRS get?

That works for me with the polished / dark wheels. After a silver Octy vRS and a silver Superb I'd like something (a bit) different next time

This is what I wonder about too? Why hate something unrevealed? Maybe there will be more than 1 new colour for this vRS

Nobody is hating something unknown, they are commenting on whatever colours have been posted.

I fully expect the whining about the Fabia 3 to begin soon.

I guess in Ronnies world no one is allowed an opinion, you and my wife would get on bloody fantastically well.

Expected price in Ireland will be around 32,450 euro for the diesel one.
