  • Can't see that anyone has posted this yet, so though I'd pop it up. New video out today.  I noticed I was the second view.   Have to say, it looks good.   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1WbzoVrIZ

  • Can you not take this to a new thread. I'm subscribed on here for mkiii vrs updates. Not the age old argument of diesel vs petrol. Christ you'll be slagging off macs and pc's next :(

  • I will never understand those that defend their own car make by slagging other makes off. OK, if you've had a particularly bad experience with a certain car make, tell the story, etc. but don't sugge

So people at good wood what's the verdict :) is it really nice or just ok in comparison to current Vrs?

Can i request another check for those at Goodwood?  What width are the tyres on the 19" Xtreme alloys?  Are the still 225's or are they wider?

Loads more photos and some videos from the French forum.

The one with the interior shot with the panoramic sunroof opened, looks the business. :D

Nice pics :) the grey is sooo nice,I didn't think the would promote the blue as much to be honest in the new model, only downside is all the standard spec octavias in this colour.

That grey is very exclusive.

My verdict? Not impressive enough for me I think.

Maybe u could elaborate a bit!

Will do when I'm not on an iPhone :)

Please do.

Is anyone looking at that exhaust? :)

Is anyone looking at that exhaust? :)

Why is that so important to you? I don't understand, what difference does it make if diesel doesn't have two exhausts.

What was the exhaust question again!?

Apparently, only the TSI has true dual exhaust, while the TDI has a fake one on the left/right side (I'm guessing it dependes if the car is LHD/RHD?). Or it may be the case the both engines have fake dual exhausts and only the one on the driver's side is a real one. Which would be lame as ...

I'm interested because I'm guessing nobody likes to buy something fake, do they? I'm not buying fake watches and whatnot, so why would I like a car with a fake exhaust? :)

Nobody else is bothered about it?

I dont like the idea but wasnt it confirmed by someone that has one so I dont see why it needs confirming again, that was all I meant. :)

I guess it's my OCD showing. :)

Which was actually confirmed (sorry I missed that discussion)?

That they both have a "fake" exhaust port or that only the diesel does?

TDi = two tips but only one is connected to the system (confirmed without doubt)

TSI = two tips that are both connected to the system

It's very important as one looks ridicules, in cold weather u will see the condensation come out from one. I wonder will the tsi rear section mate up to the tdi system!

...and if it does why the hell dont SKoda just supply it like that on both models in the first place! :giggle:

How do you see the condensation when you are driving ??  :giggle:

The Tdi has dual exhausts can't tell if 1 is dummy. Either that or the fsi only revs to 5500.

Cutting costs!

Maybe u can't but the fellow behind u laughing can!

Since they're basically GTI/GTD underneath, I think they'll have a double (TSI) and a single (TDI) exhaust pipes, as that's what the GTI/GTD have.

@Feebet, you should buy a fake Rolex or whatever you fancy... nobody will be able to spot the difference from more than a few inches away. But you'll know! :)
