Featured Replies

For almost all countries the Skoda website is down... ;)

And now they're back. Probably prepairing the configurators for the VRS.

  • Can't see that anyone has posted this yet, so though I'd pop it up. New video out today.  I noticed I was the second view.   Have to say, it looks good.   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1WbzoVrIZ

  • Can you not take this to a new thread. I'm subscribed on here for mkiii vrs updates. Not the age old argument of diesel vs petrol. Christ you'll be slagging off macs and pc's next :(

  • I will never understand those that defend their own car make by slagging other makes off. OK, if you've had a particularly bad experience with a certain car make, tell the story, etc. but don't sugge

Wow! I like those wheels on the pram at the start of the ad. I wonder if they are the Monster Truck Alloy option.

Will the higher entry point for the new vRS not help keep the current vRS used market from depreciating as quickly?

Yes, im trading my mk2 12plate octavia vrs tdi in, 15,500 miles on it and was offered £14,500, 11,000 miles ago i was offered £15,000 for it so depreciation has stubbled slightly in my opinion

What was the trade in against? They are known to alter the trade in according to what they can offer on the car your buying ie discounted car with low trade in vs non discounted car with high trade in

They estimated the value of a new vrs dsg tdi (obviously nothing accurate) at £24,000 on pcp, they did it based on a specc's up elegance, £230 per month over 3 years with the max deposit, obviously this is not anywhere near final and now the 0% has been released. Ill be driving a hard bargain so will see and keep updated.

Is that the standard interior?

Where do I sign and how many of my children do I need to sell?

That's the leather and cloth interior and I have to agree, the black paint looks great. (Even though I swore I'd never by another black car again!) All black with a bit of red.... Reminds me of Knight Rider (sad I know!)

Standard interior, half cloth half leather i believe, the ribbed sections are the cloth panels.

That race blue one looks the nuts in that spec, I've never got on with the FL headlights they ruined a very well designed (look at the design lines of the bonnet to bumper to side flanks on a MK2) front end, but the MK3 is bang back on form.

I would pick one over a Golf GTi every day of the week.

I quiet like the facelift now that i have it, my old 07 Vrs looks very dated now!

@leon the blue above looks well but they never look that we'll in person. Look how low it is lol

A Czech site reported that the 19in wheels will come with the option of a further drop in ride height but I don't know how accurate that is.

It is the standard interior, leather (may contain some artificial leather  :giggle: ) bolsters and cloth through the middle, ours has a light grey stitching.

Initial look at the seats made me think of the Octy LE seats just with a few more 'bumps' in the trim.

...and even if it was accurate I cant imagine SUK allowing us the option!

Agreed on comments above regarding the VRS looks. I thought the Mk1 was nice but a little staid, the Mk2 gorgeous - very agressive, shark like front end and one of the main reasons I bought one - Mk2 VRS FL - a total looser - very femanine comparitively, all softened off and very Korean looking, bad move (and dont get me started on the awful silver and black triangle pattern they used inside the cabin to resemble carbon fibre!!). :giggle: Mk3 VRS? Loving it! :)

Agreed the mk2 looks dated compared to the mk3 but the mk2 is a much more coherent design than the FL, the FL was a departure in styling that thankfully got reversed for the mk3.

Does that mean you've got your demo already?? Or have at least seen it?

Sadly, children are not an acceptable method of deposit due to the ongoing upkeep. Most dealerships will however accept blood, teeth and certain limbs

Yep, it rolled off the transporter last night - black TDI DSG Estate.

Hmm... I always thought that BBC was a British radio station :p

Presumably the Skoda Gods will be very angry if you post lots of pictures before the official launch?

I wouldn't dare Dr Z, I'm pretty sure I'd be dragged over the coals for that one!

Come Thursday there will be an abundance on here and t'internet - only a couple of days  :)

Is the Mk2/Mk3 leather better than the awful stuff in the Mk1?
