  • Can't see that anyone has posted this yet, so though I'd pop it up. New video out today.  I noticed I was the second view.   Have to say, it looks good.   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1WbzoVrIZ

  • Can you not take this to a new thread. I'm subscribed on here for mkiii vrs updates. Not the age old argument of diesel vs petrol. Christ you'll be slagging off macs and pc's next :(

  • I will never understand those that defend their own car make by slagging other makes off. OK, if you've had a particularly bad experience with a certain car make, tell the story, etc. but don't sugge

Falkster, it must be. Would look quite good with the Gemini in anthracite.

The white and the meteor grey estates are my favorite by far.

Yes agreed. Both look very tasty.

I can't make my mind up if the hatch needs lowering...the estate looks about right but the figures suggest only a minimal ride height difference.

With regards the wheels I haven't seen optional 19's as rumour had it.

Not a rumour, they do exist but seem to be pretty scarce so far. They're not on the Skoda UK options list yet either, but hopefully that will be corrected in due course.

Here they are:

In my mind the 18" wheels look like the best for usage in the real world. The 19" ones are just too much outside of a showroom, the rubber seems like a thin stretch of paint. :P

I'm getting confused as to which wheels are which? Do Gemini come in 18 and 19" versions?

Edited by Falkster

No, the 19" are the X-trem (or something like that) on the white estate next to the blue hatch, the white estate in those photos next to the grey estate has the anthracite Gemini (there's a simple silver version too) and the meteor grey estate has the Pictoris 18".

Reading the specs the petrol mpg is allegedly 45.6mpg (combined) for the hatch. I wonder how realistic this is? If its remotely near this I'd be tempted to move from my diesel Volvo.

If you do a lot of motorway journeys at the speed limit its vaguely plausible. I'd expect most people will be somewhere in the 30s.

With VAG cars I base my average on the stated Urban Cycle figure.

Better to be safe than sorry and be forced to drive everywhere at 56mph.

bossfox,

Guys, I've some how managed to get another two tickets courtesy of Renault. Anybody want them?

Meteor grey is lovely :) are the lights in the bumper side lights and fogs? The drl s would have been nice there.

Can you guys have a look underneath and check for that exhaust issue? Double/single for TSI/TDI? Thanks!

and photograph a pricelist please as theres two versions on the skoda website!

Half decent review. Slightly less exciting than a GTi, easier to live with every day no doubt and considerably cheaper....whats not to like really same recipie as a MK2 vRS just a bit better still im sure.
