You'll be missed Brimma, if for nothing else but to make me look good ;-)

Cheers, Mike, would have been good to witness the Citigo in all its glory :(

  • Right, after my annoyance at the organisers' letting us out at Combe, and wishing to at least have a truly 100% brisky session along with a smidge of tracktime desire, I'm up for this. Won't be a work

  • We've had the practice times, we've had the hot lap times, now we have possibly the most important table of all (for obvious reasons), the improvement between practice and hot lap times 01. +5.317 -

  • I need something to cheer me up Just to bring this to the front as it's several pages back... 1. BossFox - Booked In 2. CRAIGROBBO - Booked In 3. PastyBoy - Booked In 4. M12MKD - Booked In 5.

One question to organisers, would it be possible to get a friend in driving Nissan 370Z Roadster? He's a keen petrolhead as well and I'd love to whoop his derriere with my little vRS :D

If it doesn't fill up with Skodas and so goes on public sale then yes.

He can phone up and join in like anyone else.

Otherwise there is no point in making it a Briskoda session only... because we all have mates with other cars.

That's fair enough. Do you know when is the cut-off date?

When MSV get fed up. Nothing is set in stone.

I'm still thinking about it - will know more after my appointment tomorrow

I will make a phone call to MSV as it'd need some pre-planning from his side so the erlier he knows the better

MSV want a month to sell to the pubic.

As such we have the rest of April to Briskoda-ise the rest of the spaces or they'll go on general sale and any non-Skoda driving members/mates can book up along Czechoslovakia's finest

Even your vRS is not that old :D

I think you could also mark sharkrider as booked in according to his post #278 above :).

Hi All,

I was sitting thinking about fuel for this event and where to get some Shell V-Power local-ish to Bedford Autodrome see below.....

Postcode

NN10 6GA - Approx 9 miles north west from the autodrome (Think i will use this one).

PE19 5XF - On the A1 if your coming from the North.

SG7 5TR - On the A1 if your coming from the South.

MK42 7BT - South East of Bedford centre.

One other question.....

Approx how much fuel would you regular track day guys n gals advise to have in the tank for this particular event???....

Cheers

Craig...

edited and reordered to clarify things a bit.

Craig as per all my other posts the absolute maximum time you could be on track would be just over an hour; although to do that you'd need no mechanical sympathy what-so-ever.

I'd say 3x 15 minutes at full attack plus yours 2 timed laps is about all you'd really do.

Depends how thirsty you think your car will be and how much you think the extra weight of more fuel will slow you down - if you're seriously worried about times!

I'll probably fill up here drive over, get to the track with about 3/4 of a tank, do the event, down to half a tank maybe?, then drive home.

I'm going to show up to the track with about 1/3 tank. Don't want any excess now. ;)

Especially the 'heavy' diesel variety ......

Stop eating for few days and it will be worth more than the fuel ;)

I would advise around a third or more. At all times.

Remember this is not road driving and it's going to be sloshing about.

You probably won't notice a bit of air getting sucked up, but you might notice the car become unbalanced while on the limit as you take a corner due to a change in power.

If it helps on the last how fast I filled up before I left and had a 3rd of a tank left when I got home.

Possibly will have another Octavia if I can twist my uncle's arm enough...........and he gets permission from SWMBO.

Sorry, that goes against my religion. :D

I've had my confirmation emails this morning and payment has gone out.

It's on people!

I have PM'd the 3 on the list who have nt confirmed and if people could apply some pressure to some forum friends who may be willing to partake that'd help us make it Skoda only.

Otherwise I will happily open it up to non-Skoda driving members who wish to come along or potentially as a last resort, members mates to fill the spaces.
