  • Right, after my annoyance at the organisers' letting us out at Combe, and wishing to at least have a truly 100% brisky session along with a smidge of tracktime desire, I'm up for this. Won't be a work

  • We've had the practice times, we've had the hot lap times, now we have possibly the most important table of all (for obvious reasons), the improvement between practice and hot lap times 01. +5.317 -

  • I need something to cheer me up Just to bring this to the front as it's several pages back... 1. BossFox - Booked In 2. CRAIGROBBO - Booked In 3. PastyBoy - Booked In 4. M12MKD - Booked In 5.

Have a look at the noise testing photo.

http://www.howfast.co.uk/events.aspx

Do they have fuel pumps there? Looks like Shell V-Power to me.

It's the stock MSV photo.

At Bedford they do the noise testing by the gate, there is no fuel station there.

There may be one elsewhere on site, but I wouldn't bank on it.

I'd be even more surprised if it's a shell selling V power.

Thanks mate :)

I'm still here

yes there are 3 spaces left as far as i know - as Fix says though call up and book in with MSV they'll let you know

Jabo i don't think that picture is from Bedford.

At event #1 I got sountested at the security box on the road in.

That picture I suspect will be from the nearest Shell which is about 6 or 7 miles away from memory. Best to turn up with all the fuel you will use, as there aren't really any "rest periods" during the period of action.

You mean Jerry cans?

You mean Jerry cans?

No, fuel in the tank.

You won't do more than 30 minutes plus two hot laps.

That's about a third of a tank in a petrol VRS, half tops if you hoon it the whole time.

So go in nearly full.

BTW, I think you'll find that MSV small print says "no refueling in the pits".

Jabo drives karts and warms his car up like a racing driver, so that's 1/3 of a tank gone ;)

I'll be turning up with around half a tank - that will be more than enough for all the track work and see me a fair way to Telford after as well

Anyone planning to run the car very low for the two hot laps, please remember they have road tanks and are not baffled.

So hard cornering will result in some air being sucked up which in turn will result in a loss of power (and control if mid corner).

Personally I wouldn't run them under a quarter.

Good advice and experience sharing, cheers guys :)

BTW,

MotulRBF600 was out of stock so GulfRF1000 was ordered and shipped today

ELM 327 WiFi mini purchased

DashCMD byPalmerMotorsport will be purchasedshortly to provide logging facility.

Camcorder mount located (thanks RichF) and wil be purchased (2No ) shortly so I can mount two cameras I have at home.

Need to check my air filter as per oil test advice.

I bought Gulf 800 from Opie, it was delivered today along with a free air freshener  are they trying to tell me something?

I spoke to MSV earler and the lady I spoke to had no idea about the 'How fast are Briskoda day on the 1st of June'!

Hopefully i'll have more look tomorrow...

Just make sure you get the 10am session. :)

10AM session doesn't show on the event website so perhaps that's why she didn't havre a clue?

Most likely, or it's a new person/filling in.

I've spoken to MSV bookings several times and always get one of two or three guys.

Because it's not for sale to the public so it's not available online and is held "behind the scenes" for us

Woo Hoo !!!

Nice one Joe, only 2 spots left!

I really hope my new stoppers are fitted for this.... I don't fancy doing this and the full day @ Combe on my brembos

Wait until the day for the racing driver excuses Jason. ;):D

haha! :D

I am contemplating a bit of stripping out before the weekend though. I might try and leave a few extra bits and pieces at home, but also might bring along the nitrous for a giggle. The bottle is due to be emptied out really....

I might use it as my excuse to remove all the trim to be replaced by black bits, including the headlining....
