I found my Superb: She's called Audrey!

Get a quote from warranty direct. There are different cover levels depending on what you want to cover.

They also cover "wear and tear" items as well. Once the vehicle reaches a certain age/mileage there is a sliding scale on the %age payout on the price of replacement parts, but they always cover 100% of labour costs.

You can also pay less and get repairs done at non-franchise garages, rather than main dealers.

Thks Jakeblade - i ll do more research!

Wet / no rain in midlands.

But wet and rain in Yorkshire!

So unfortunately no outside pics of Audrey.

But a few things i noted abt car:

1. No dust caps for the wheel bolts

- Thomasz(SkodaParts) say it cost 88p per cap + discounts! Nice one, Thomas! :-)

2. Missing ciggie lighter

3. 2 cracks in heated windscreen

- but there wer no advisories in MOT

Mats from Thomasz - with extra discount for BriSkoda members!

+1

Yours doesn’t have the smoking pack, if you look at the rubber mat inside the ‘coin tray’ (ashtray) there will be a no smoking sign embossed on the mat, if you do smoke then this can be removed and an ashtray liner can be added.

Good to see the brolly was still there.

There is deffo a ciggie socket at front.

But another ciggie sockeg in rear - but with a fake ciggie plug.

Any idea how i chk if Audreys got Smoking pack?

I mean maybd there was no ciggie lighter - maybe i m just missing another fake ciggie plug?

Racing Boy.

No mods at all for Audrey.

Thinks shes perfect as she is.

Just some servicing thts all:

Major

Belt/pump

Some winter alloys/tyres for nx winter

New tyres for summer.

Thts it!

Thn lots of leather/wax cleaning polishing :-)

Hey up Wayne, Finally got it then!

looks nice.......

First thing I'd do is sort than screen out- if the dealer won't sort it you'd better get it done on your insurance while it can still be repaired (for nothing?) otherwise if it cracks you'll be shelling out a bundle, being heated and all.... :'(

Cheers Bill/Spence for confirmation on NO SMOKING pack.

Spence: nice drive (compared with Scooby).

Quiet on motorways, very comfortable.

Not used to the choppy low ride of a turbo diesel yet.

Back killing me? Not sure if seat of just me being old!

Audrey still look s beautiful in Rosso Brunello!

With car now away from seller.

And no MOT advisories its gona be hard to get seller to fix.

Besides i hear bodgd jobs by thm on internet - so actually prefer not to.

I ll ask Skoda 2moro if its worth fixing.

U right Ade, it needs looked at before it gets worse! Eeeek!

Well.

Got my Audrey but a little late (overslept plus peak traffic)

Got to DVLA early to transfer private plate

Made it to SkodaParts a bit late - drove right past Bickerton Skoda

(i thought SkodaPart was a private company!)

Now sitting with Audrey waiting for my youngest from beavers.

Reading thru the stereo manual now.

Satnav works and has full postcode - Bill !!!

CD works

DVD works

SD card works

Racing Boy - 3rd brake lighg does flash whn opening as hatch!

not tested remote open boot yet - chugging it down outside now (at least no leaks yet!)

Martin: Thomasz selling brand new alloys 16" for superb for abt £118? Each IIRC

Heated screen button is down where the climate control and heated seat button are. You'll have a row of buttons, one for the rear demister and another for the front, as well as a selection of other buttons.

Windscreen chip is normal and not an MOT fail or an advisory. My A8 has two that are quiet large and neither are an MOT issue, they need to be greater than 10mm in size before they become an MOT failure on the passenger side, and 5mm on the drivers side within the swept area.

Oh,

And i have lost my window armrest!!!

Most cars i owned the door is very close to seat.

Audreys door has a huge gap from the seat.

Wouldnt it be comfortable to have wider seats to fill tht gap?

i like the driving position actually, i use the armrest on the door and the armrest in the center console and i like it i have mine at the highest position and as far forwards as it can go, the only niggle i find with it is that when its very far forwards it is hard to access the hand brake and is it just me or should the handbrake be closer to the driver and it's a bit strange having the bonnet release on the other side of the car, but it is handy having the gas strut for the bonnet as no need to fiddle about the the rod to hold it up Edited by racing boy
