  • Ta da. This happened this afternoon, I'm very pleased it.     Luckily I was able to pull off the main road and stop at the right time. My Maths was obviously right when I reset the trip.

  • I had to do this once I realised it was possible.............(i.e. I hadn't passed the mileage yet, so could reset the T1):

  • TaDa     As you can see I've dusted too! :p

Come on people, you could at least try to get the trip numbers to be part of the occasion.

See posts 309, 353, 355 and 360 to see how it SHOULD be done.

Come on now, you seem to be missing out a few other posts with odo & trip porn in one!

cough cough: Please see posts:

Blimey. Someone needs to get out more! :)

I only trawled back a few pages. Just there've been quite a few posts which have much less effort put in than others.

This thread is not all about the ultimate moments in the odo world, the little wins are just as good and without them it would slowly have vanished into the abyss like archive realms of the forum long ago.

Missing post #1 though  :nerd:  :peek:  :notme:

Good post #1, FUBAR. Especially the speed...

This evening at work I pulled over to bask in another glorious milestone in my Garmin's hard service!

You're just showing off now. :)

Er, 160m/h?

Er, 160m/h?

Was from about 5 years ago on the autobahn (bike not car), but the battery in the sat nav ran out, otherwise it would have been more  :(

Does this count for this thread I know I broke the rules with the Octy speedo. [emoji851]

Based on when the miles were reset it was never going to be all 5's

Looks good to me, the actual odo is the main name of the game in here, getting the trip at same time is just the icing on the cake.

Got a new courtesy van a week ago with 124 miles on the clock. Today while on way to return it I had the mobile steering wheel mount on so as to not miss the action for the 2K mark, timing the music in was a work of pure art and took a bit of trial and error working out point in track vs rough time in head for it flicking between each 0.1 of a mile on trip while sat steady on cruise control.

^^ nice work!

Last one from the Skoda. Excuse fuzziness I was watching the road and not taking the pic with my other hand honest officer.

I should have taken another after a tenth of a mile I suppose?

That's not really my finger.

It's the sun reflecting off the dash

Yep!

At least this is palindromic.

I am trying to time my Sat navs mileage and the Fabia's together and get a pic of both hitting 82K..... I am that bored!

I am hoping the above should be able to happen on the way home from work tonight, sat nav has been turned off for a week ready to go :D

In the mean time driving the Octy has caused the delay, here is another bland one:

No pic to prove but just seen 818,181.8km on the coach on my way to Sheffield. Was on motorway at time with passengers on!

Isn't that what God invented the hard shoulder for?

Just a video of my 80s-tastic (and in need of fixing) digital dash.

Not with a coach load of drunken football supporters he didn't!

Mike

You stop pretend coach is broken, spend a minute faffing about then be the hero driver who fixed it! tip tip tip!

Imagine if it was as simple as a bad battery or earth! I fear not though :( Where does it display odo when working, bottom left somewhere?

Yeah I think so. It has done 127000 miles in its 31 years. Strangely it's much more stable now I've connected a new earth cable to the rear lights.
