  • Ta da. This happened this afternoon, I'm very pleased it.     Luckily I was able to pull off the main road and stop at the right time. My Maths was obviously right when I reset the trip.

  • I had to do this once I realised it was possible.............(i.e. I hadn't passed the mileage yet, so could reset the T1):

  • TaDa     As you can see I've dusted too! :p

OK, no photo, so I suppose it didn't happen, but when I picked my Lexus up from the dealer yesterday, it showed 11 miles.

Hardly dare drive it home, as within a mile I was on the M6!

Another mile stone clocked up on the way to work this morning, Pretty much a year to the day I bought it on 64k.... A year of completely trouble free driving

You could have taken it easy for just 0.2 of a mile and had 66.6 MPG as well!

Fixed  :cocktail:

Sorry to say I missed 53K by 1 mile and didn't bother taking a pic of that, so opted for one once I had reached my destination :(

Then today I park back up at work and notice I missed my sat nav's 59K one by a mile too :(

Is yours still displaying miles like motoring Jesus intended, or has it been switched over to the dark side?

Managed one of the epic ones on the town service bus this morning. Passengers must have wondered why I was stopping when I got the piccy!

How many miles do these buses do each year and how long will they last?

Ok, this slighty off topic, but tadaaa!

Only about 8 1/2 an hour early of a really epic screen shot ..

In the city, they can do 150-200k miles a year when they are running 24/7.

This 45678 picture is taken on a 14 plate service bus that never leaves the confines of sleepy little Whitby. A full day running constantly on service clocks up around 130 miles, peanuts compared to some long distance motors. We have a 56 plate coach with over 800k km on the clock, and even the 07 plate is over 600k.

Thanks for the reply. I presume they have solid engines in them to do such high mileage.

Like any large heavy vehicle, its just a large engine which doesn't have a massive rev range. Newer buses and coaches I don't personally see as lasting as long as the older ones did/have due to being made cheaper and cheaper out of recycled beer cans and plastic bags....

My previous car (actually I still have it). Seat Leon 1.9 TDI 90, year 2000.

I was a little angry at myself for not timing the trip counter to show 444 too.

Some more standard ones today.

I reset the trip, just in case I decide to keep the Octy aswell as the Fabia...... You never know!
