Yeah I think so. It has done 127000 miles in its 31 years. Strangely it's much more stable now I've connected a new earth cable to the rear lights.

ahha that's about bang on the same as my 15 year old Octy which hit 61K earlier in the week (pic above). I don't think I will still be the owner at 31 years old though, but with a bit of waxoil, you never know!

  • Ta da. This happened this afternoon, I'm very pleased it.     Luckily I was able to pull off the main road and stop at the right time. My Maths was obviously right when I reset the trip.

  • I had to do this once I realised it was possible.............(i.e. I hadn't passed the mileage yet, so could reset the T1):

  • TaDa     As you can see I've dusted too! :p

Why it's rotated left I have no idea !

Did you take it landscape with a samsung android phone?

If so thats why it turned.

i dont know why, but it happened me before too and thats what i was told on here :)

Strangely the flickering seems to have gone after I fixed the earth to the rear lights!!

  • 2 weeks later...

I'm lucky to get this one, wife and daughter had the car and didn't understand the need to take a pic.

Thankfully my daughter took pity and captured it.

The trip counter was a step too far for them.....

Might be selling mine soon as insurance renewal is due shortly and I have a feeling they will shaft me with a massive increase after my fairly massive introductory discount I wangled last year........ 61K miles

Maybe, maybe not.

ive been with Aviva since 2007, excluding a 9month break when i went to aberdeen - cancelled insurance and parked car at parents for the 2nd year i was there.

theyve always kept my renewal decent and knocked a few bob off when i ring up and ask. Pretty much the opposite of seemingly everybody in ireland lately (i got mine down to same as last yr, after an increase on the notice) - upwards of 50% increase apparently???

That's who mines with but Aviva UK. I got them to knock the price of the vRS down to £165.79 last year fully comp protected NCD etc and mirrored my NCD for the Octy. I should get renewal within the next week and then all will be clear. However paying 2 lots of tax, servicing costs and the ever looming possibility of major mechanical failures means that one (likely the vRS) will have to go. I really don't need nor wanted 2 cars and I got the vRS to replace the Octy, then when it came to it I couldn't let such a good car go hahaha.
