Mine is rubber joe. Just need to get off my arse and fit it. Thanks for the info I will have to try and get the shape. Just gives it a bit more of an aggressive look In my opinion.

Pointless update;

Fitted splitter, didn't like the outcome so I ripped it back off.

I'm currently in talks with a few companies about prices off wheels etc. So far there is a 6 week waiting list with the one , which I don't mind as they want be fitted until the weather gets better anyway. Just waiting to hear back from a few others regarding price and lead times then I will be placing my order.

Did you not take any pics before you removed it?

I've also got a 30 day wait for a set of wheels.

Yeah did take a photo. Will have to dig out my laptop later as I took them on my camera and not my phone as usual.

I haven't ordered my wheels yet. But have been given a few prices and I think I may be getting the tyres from camakillz instead and getting my friend to fit them as it works or about £70 cheaper. Just need to make sure these are the ones I want. Always used to make rash decision when I was younger and made a few mistakes with previous cars so I want to be 110% certain. But wheels will be ordered this week or next. Should then hopefully be fitted by March/April weather permitting.

Well it has been one year to the day that I picked my Vrs up and it has been a very good year in ownership. So as the weather was good today, I decided to give her a well deserved bath. Car had not been washed this year until now.

Anyway here she is looking rather sorry for her self;

Firstly I snow foamed using Autobrite Snow Foam lance I had from the other half for Xmas and Magifoam;

I then rinsed and washed using Dodo Juice Born to be Mild and two Bucket method, Wheels were cleaned using Demon shine wheel cleaner. It was then dried using two Asda drying towels.

Tyres were then dressed with Megs Endurance Tyre Shine and exhaust polished with AG Metal Polish.

 I then set to work on the interior which also looked terrible;

Seats were treated to Megs Gold Class leather cleaner and the plastics and door cards were cleaned using Demon Shine All Purpose Cleaner.

Some seat porn ;)

Yeah let's have a look.

There is a set of used, staggered 3SDM 5x112, 8.5 and 9.5 x 18 on one of the wheel trader pages on eBay.

Looking at how your car sits, I personally wouldn't fit a set of those unless you want to go lower. I think any of these 8.5j concave wheels need to be stanced, which isn't my favourite thing but I get why people do it.

I sent you a pm with the picture.

Regarding wheels, this was always my worry, they are a wheel that looks best on a stanced car. I like taking my car on drives in the summer so wouldn't want to go too low to ruin the handling but want to go a little lower so not sure if the wheels would suit it. May see if someone will photoshop some on there too have a better idea.

My other halfs neighbour has a 3 series M sport, 2007 plate and fitted a set of 3smds last week on standard height and they don't look too bad tbh.

just went threw your project and really nicely done for sure love them seats i take it they our the Italian seat's that i have read up on parkers ??

Yeah, made out of Italian leather. Will have to try an get some better photos of them, the ones above don't do them justice. But I think skoda should have used their heads and made them heated too, that would have been the icing on the cake.

Got your pic and replied cheers.

I think the 0.01s look ok on E9x 3 series because it looks a bit more like a BMW OE wheel. M Sport cars are also pretty low out of the factory, probably lower than mine is on my H&Rs. I don't think a photoshop would necessarily help as the reality of the fitment and height might be the same as the photoshop. It's a hard car to buy wheels for. I never really thought the 5 spokes suited mine until I saw this pic.

I think multispoke wheels really it suit the Octavia. CHs have to be 19" otherwise they look too small, CKs look great in 18", even the Zenith, which is essentially a 5 spoke design but split into 10 looks good. I'd have had a set if Ultraleggeras money permitting. In fact I think Wardy is selling his Speedline Turinis, I would have had them except I've got other plans.

I really liked your 5 spokes, thought it really suited the car. And I have never seen turinis on an octy before. Will see if I can find any now.

Wardy's sales thread shows them on his car. They are 18x8 ET42.

Was always torn over those 5 spokes, looked better silver than black that's for sure.

Some more quick photos of the seats. Have to be one of the best parts of the car.

like them a lot !!! mostly the front seats as i had to look twice as they remind me of the audi recaro seats till you see the limited edition vrs :P

They are even better in the flesh. This is the only reason I went for the Ltd Edition over a standard Pre FL. That and the pre FL exterior and the CR engine too,

Don't forgot the FL climate control too!

Quick Photoshop of 3sdm 0.01. Not sure what to think yet,

Gave the rear washer jet a quick clean as it was clogged up. This is a new one I bought from Skoda last year at £36.00 IIRC. Not sure why its clogging up all the time maybe something to do with my washer fluid?

I am also waiting for a reply from pasty to see if I can get a new style badge for my steering wheel. Will update once i get a reply.

Ordered steering wheel badge from Cliff aka Pastyboy. Will post pictures up once fitted.

I think they look ace! Makes me want them myself now!

Buy them in silver and then post a picture up!! Haha. I don't need to decide just yet as I have a few weeks before I order them. The weather seems to be getting better thou so I may order a set of wheels sooner than I thought.

Same here, although springs that were fitted in my Octy are the wrongs one. Cause they are fitted now, I can't be asked to fork out another £££ for fitting. Going to leave them as they are, wheels will be on my Octy very soon. I do love them wheels, it's a perfect match and goes well with the colour of your Octy.

What are they 18's or 19's?

I will be ordering 18" they will more than likely look smaller than the above picture.

Ordered another little sticker today for the rear. Nothing too OTT just a nice little touch. That will more than likely be it for stickers with the addition of a pasty badge for my wheel, my two briskoda stickers and the surprise on the rear. I may actually get some spare centre caps for the wheels I buy and get some more past badges and stick them to a spare set to see what they look like. Will need to measure the centre caps first.

Wound the coilovers down at the front yesterday. It was too cold to do the rear so that will wait until next weekend. This will probably be the lowest I run her and I have about 7 threads left to go down which is probably about another 30mm.

I will have to get some better photos later but it's pretty low on the front now.

Looking good, be nice once the rears are down. :)

Looks more aggressive now.
