My health........a quick update (as at 20.3.15)

great to read the good news and I do hope that the next round of tests are as encouraging as the last one. Joined the 'big C club' myself this summer, having a bladder tumour diagnosed and removed (and believe me, the camera was not the worst). Awaiting further examinations, but the quacks (actually extremely nice and competent all of them, and that goes for the nurses, too) do not look particularly worried. So hopefully I'm relegated to the 'small C club', without regrets. And hopefully it will be the same for you.

Apologies.....................these updates are getting a bit boring at the moment

 

Had two appointments today

 

Saw the gastroenterologist at 9.30am for a follow-up from the endoscopy at the end of July - everything was fine with that, and his concerns over my liver have thankfully disappeared, as the relevant levels of the readings are pretty much as they should be. I didn't follow what all the different readings mean, but apparently at one time one of them was almost 10 times higher than it should be. That particular one has now returned to almost normal. He has now signed me off, so I don't need to see him again unless things change significantly with any other treatment 

 

Then a bit of a delay before blood samples being taken and seeing the haematologist at 12.30pm. The good news was that my blood levels have remained stable without any medication for the last five weeks    

 

Still no news on longer term treatment - I've got to ring next Tuesday (10th September) to see if there is any update on that side of things

 

So.......back on 2nd October, and another month off the tablets  

 

Another step forward was returning to work two days ago, just half hours for the first month, then gradual build up over the next few months

I had a blood test which gunny readings, I ended up having tests over a whole year, saw about 4 different doctors and in the end they decided I just had funny liver enzymes...

The last doctor asked me if I felt ok, I said yes and he said I was probably OK then.

Personally I'm starting to think your docs aren't very good.

After all they haven't diagnosed your golditus and skyfallism despite all these tests.
