Hi all im going to lowering my vrs,

i was wondering whats kits anyones using shocks and springs or coilys etc..

.

i dont want to go too low as ill be fitting a splitter and just want to fill the arch gap rather then decking the car, also do you have driveshaft problems as i lowered my mk4 golf on coilys and where the height looked good it used to rub the driveshaft on the chassis do you get the same problems with a fabia ????

pictures appreciated a cant remember the lads name on here (silver fabia vrs) believe it was lowered 55mm and it looked great..

Coilovers are a must if you want to go lower than 25mm, here's a picture of mine lowered on AP coilovers and a cupra splitter, as low as it can go on the rear and 12 coils up on the front, doesn't catch, rub or scrape off anything either.

both lovely car cheers tom,i'll have to consider that then, however the shock and spring kit i found was a cheap one which reckoned a lowering of 55mm on the front and 35mm on the rear ??

all the expensive ones only lowered between 25 and 35mm as toms stated

yeh it lowers a none vrs model that much the vrs is lower than standard so it's only around 25mm

What is the ride comfort like with this set up?

Barely altered at all. Still soaks nicely but is a kick when you hit a pothole

Adjusters out and the rubber top mounts they sit on at the top

Yes that's right I think! So 25mm, settled a tit lower since and almost touching on too of drive!!

The diesel kit though, as they do a petrol 1 too!!

Hmm, may not get APs then, would want more lows than that
