There must be hundreds of posts regarding snow foam. Cant recall seeing pictures of actual settings so thought these might help

I use this setting for initial snow foam application then wash off and use a slightly weaker concentration and mitt to wipe off.

When its applied I leave it on for no more than 5 minutes and then wash off thoroughly.

Using this method I have never experienced any of what you have stated .

The car is snow foamed weekly as I do an average of 800 miles a week including ferry trips to Eire.

Cant recommend it enough.

I've used Magifoam and Blue Magifoam for about two years. It is LSP safe on many coatings though not all. On first washes of friends cars it's a good product but I mostly use a brand of shampoo I like through the foam lance to get the product onto the car rather than the 2BM.

Do you mean you don't wash the car...just snow foam, rinse and dry?

Cheers Swordstroke, I use the same lance and took advice from the forum (probably from you) on how to set the lance up but use 'ultimate' snow foam which is claimed not to strip the wax

Mandp (it won't let me quote, sorry), but what I tend to do is snow foam with thick suds. Go round the car with some dilute Bilt Hamber Surfex degreaser and a Swissvax style brush getting into all the nooks and crannies by which time around ten minutes have passed, then I pressure washer rinse the car, most of the crud has either gone or softened sufficiently that snow foaming with my shampoo (though by no meand as thick as Magifoam) I spray onto the car. Then using a wash mitt and either a bucket to rinse or a free flowing hose, wipe over the roof,rinse mitt, wipe window, rinse mitt (repeat all round), wipe top panel of wing, rinse mitt (repeat all round), wipe lower panel, rinse mitt (repeat all round), then rinse whole car, then 0ppm filter rinse the car, then 0ppm filter 'sheet' the car. The car is mostly dry by now, then using a dampened drying towel pat the rest of the car dry then either top up the sealant or leave it as that.

I use the medium of the lance to apply the shampoo to the car rather then having shampoo sitting in a bucket.

I was about to buy some Magifoam.. now I'm not so sure, I thought it was safe on the wax!

Does the Ultimate snow foam, foam as much and dwell on the car?

I've been using Magifoam for 3 months since I waxed my car with Collinite 845 and can confirm that the Collinite is still going strong, so my Magifoam has not affected my LSP. I use 1 inch in the lance bottle topped up with water.

Most swirls are inflicted during the wash process so if you can minimise touching the car or softening the dirt as much as you can so a quick gentle wipe will remove it all the better and I hate dragging two buckets round and round the car, it drives me crazy as I end up walking back and forward dozens of times.

What are you using as an LSP and shampoo wash process?

Zvend, I don't know who your question was aimed at, but just in case it was me...First of all I spray the bottom half of the `dry` car with Valet Pro Citrus Pre Wash, pressure rinse, snow foam with Valet Pro PH Neutral, pressure rinse, TBM with AG Shampoo/Conditioner, pressure rinse and quickly dry with a `Wooly Mammoth`. My LSP is Collinite 845. I'm very new to this detailing lark...I've learnt an awful lot here, for which I am very grateful and my car (though I say it myself) always looks `the biz`.

Hi mate, I've not used Magifoam so can't really say. however if this is of any help I snow foam my car first then go into the house to fill my 2 buckets with water and by the time I come out it's falling off the car and the paint is showing through in a number of places as it slips on to the floor. I then jetwash it off. There's a vid here showing you what ultimate does if you have a scroll down the page

this is my car after I'd given her a squirt about 10 seconds after I'd finished... One thing is magifoam is a lot more expensive if that makes any difference... When I get stuff from Ultimate finish I usually buy other stuff to spread the £4.75 P&P. This time I bought 2 lots :sun:

TBH...The difference it makes from other Snow Foams is negligable

I tried a rival product...Chem Guys No Touch Snow Foam....Basically it isnt..no such thing

Snow Foam is a pre wash cleaner and not a stand alone one....You should always Hand wash as well

He's saying that Citrus Pre-Wash is better than Snow Foam

They both have a place ....I will use a prewash on a very very dirty car in the winter and then snow foam afterwards

On a lightly soiled car (In summer for example) Citrus is a waste of product IMO....and it must be diluted right down or it will strip your LSP

LOL Citrus is not a waste it works better than foam, all products will harm an LSP shampoo's included
