I've bought 2 through Amazon (Belkin) and a non-name dual port and none of them charges because they don't fit or contact properly with the cigarette lighter socket.

Tried them both in our Ford Fiesta and they work ok after a bit of moving around. Before you ask, I've double checked, my lighter works fine.

I have a MkI Fabia, I tried SWMBO's lighter from her Golf MkV in mine, didn't fit. I then saw a 12V lighter to USB charger in, now wait for it, Poundland :yes: Red LED lets you know it's plugged in/ charging and works OK, had it a year now.

The one I bought from a motorway service station. I have no idea who makes it, but I will try to remember to check later.

It's a double USB port cigarette lighter adapter, with a blue top that lights up.

I got it to allow me to run the phone charger and satnav simultaneously, but actually, if it's plugged in, my phone can be a satnav, as I don't have to worry about bty drain!

I also bought a universal phone holder, that has a suction pad, locks in place, an elbow joint and then a "hand" (actually two sprung holders) that grips the phone. I have mounted it next to the A/C controls so the phone sits above the stereo.
