Interference on Columbus head unit at engine startup

Featured Replies

Hi,

New owner of a Superb Elegance Estate 2.0 (140) tdi. I've noticed that if I put the key in the ignition and let the headunit start up (while belting in kids) and then once the radio's up and running start the engine theres an interference in the radio sound output for 2-3 seconds. It doesn't happen during driving and only happens on startup.

Anyone else get this?

I had noticed a little bit of this on my Columbus, but when using the MDI and my ipod. I hadn't noticed it with the radio. It is barely noticeable on mine and lasts for less than a second. I didn't happen with the Bolero as far as I can remember.

Maybe I'm being fussy about it - wife say's she can't hear it at all.

Is your phone connected to it in any way at the time?
