Just got in a bit earlier than usual. Like to get in about an hour before the racing starts, to avoid the queues :p     :D     No updates at the moment kids... but this has happened:

  • Sod it... took it round the block and stopped for some proper pics                   Needs lowering now that it's gained ride hide... but not really got much arch gap to play

  • Thanks buddy     Slight update: The Punisher / black theme is starting to wear thin on me now. I do love the black, but it's starting to look dark grey (rather than the jet black that I love) and

Where you get lights from?? Like them

Remember they used to do them and stopped making right hand drive ones !!

Only person that got them many years ago was a guy called andyrew who also was the first to fit a tfsi to a 1.8t

German eBay - the best place in the world for niche items like this B)

waaaahhh skoda feck that.im confused whats wrong with it? cant you do it yourself??

all looking wicked but i think i hate the lights :giggle:

I'm looking at a full major service though, not just a quick in-and-out. I haven't got the time (or energy) to do that by myself. I'd feel a lot better knowing that it's been properly looked at as well.

Ah.. How about a skull gear knob?

Need to fix the gearbox first - changing gear is like a box of chocolates at the mo... never know what ya gonna get :giggle: But yeah, if I find a decent one then I might snap it up.

Well I waited for it to get a bit darker last night and switched the lights on...

*Groan* - now I need to find out what screw does what before I drive anywhere in the dark :(

Though on the plus side it does look rather good at night now

yet you found the time to paint a whole car :giggle: a MAJOR service few filters and fluids and set of plugs  or if you go to skoda an oil change only

lol the checklist is just a teeny bit longer than that! I have creative skills and the ability to prep and paint a whole car in under 10 hours - the biggest mechanical task I've ever undertaken is fitting an induction kit! The service is only part of what I need doing anyway - I've got a massive backlog of jobs that need doing (my EML has been on for over 2 year now lol).

Today's antics:

Fitting the diffuser was easier than I thought, though a tiny bit of Tiger Seal has leaked over the edge (I'll deal with that at a later date).

So whilst that was hardening up, I got to work on the new stencil. I thought it was time to name the ship!

After a couple of coats I left it to dry and returned to the diffuser. I fitted 4 standard screws to the bottom and then 4 of my "pirate screws" to the mid-top, to keep it looking a little apocalyptic.

Stencil took a while to dry as it's a bit wet and cold :(

...but eventually...

2 small jobs, but looking a lot better now - very pleased

lmao fault code reader is 20squid i got 3! all easyier than you might think. glad you can afford skoda prices :giggle: love the splitter

This is awesome. Love it.

Lower it a lot. Get some big arches and bolt them on.

Only thing I dislike are the headlights look too modern on a rat/punisher looking car.

Loving this tactical....... I reckon you're possibly a reject from the thunderdome dude...... Absolutely epic :)

I already know what's wrong as my brother has done the codes. The problem is the EML keeps coming back on because I haven't fixed the things associated with them.

Definitely going lower once I've got the shallow sump fitted. Not too much, just enough to get a good stance.

Haha thanks - much, much more madness to come :p

I'm pretty much done for the year now, as the bad weather is really taking hold. Next year should see a lot more extreme stuff!

smooth :|

car is totally mad just dont wanna see it end because of niggly probs lol takes about 2hrs to do full service not even half the time it took you to paint :notme:

you love it :D

Right, finally bought myself some new wipers to combat the onset of all this rain - that'll be the last thing the car gets until the new year. Loads of new apocalyptic stuff to come in 2014 - I've already begun working on prototypes and it promises to be as extreme as legally possible!

One final photo for 2013

Well it's been a month since my last post and I've been planning for 2014 by working on some concepts. Most have been "Punisher" oriented, but I thought I'd post up a sneak peek of another idea I've had:

cwq8.png

The camouflage is based on British military colours, but with grey added into the mix. Thoughts? Is the Punisher car better or would this look more awesome?

im liking the camo would make a good change, cant really go much further with punisher theme so new year new ideas!

camo looks better imo

Camo look is awesome.

Thats smart

Well it looks like the camo is a go... as are 100s of rivets which will take days upon days to add, but it should look extra special once they're all bolted on.

2014 will see a massive change in theme, but I think it's for the better B)

Now all I need is for this crappy weather to do one and get I can get cracking!

That will look great. Riveted arches will look great too

Actual drill holes in car type rivets? Will be going rusty round em all in a year unless you treat them all with anti rust. Will look awesome once done though!

That's what was holding me back before, but someone taught me a little trick: don't actually drill holes in the car, just cut the heads off the rivets and glue them to the bodywork - excellent cheat :D

Ah! That's genius! Should be an interesting year for your octy.

saw this again today needs lowering lol

The camo is a great idea. Nice one

Sent from my Samsung S3

Love it. Would also like to see riveted arches of sorts.

You always see me when I'm going to get my hair cut :D

But yeah you're right. Shallow sump is being fitted on Friday... so will finally have the option for lows.

That's very intriguing - I'd want 2 on each side though... be good if I could pull it off.

Another concept to mull over.

I do love the camo idea, but it's really a question of whether I can be arsed to get the paint brushes back out again, especially since the rivet job will probably take 2 million years to do :|

Either way, the wheels you can see are almost a dead cert. Everything else is up in the air - I won't decide on which theme to go with until the warmer weather returns.
