Turns out that my under-writer won't cover it at all, so I have to take out a new 12-month policy, although my insurer did say that it would be cheaper than my previous car!  Time to consult the Meerkats!

The meerkats have done it again; insured, for over £100 less than Skoda or my current insurer, for comparable cover.  Can't imagine why my current underwriter wouldn't insure the car, though.

I reckon it's because they have heard about the delays to deliveries. They wouldn't insure it because of the high risk of impatient octavia 3 order waiters stealing it ;-) Enjoy!!

Steel grey/Platin grey which, I understand, is no longer on the configurator for any model.

Steel Grey currently in the last week of production. It will be replaced by Metal Grey in about 1 months time.
